In the nursery rhyme "Snow," there is a verse that goes, "Cats curl up in a kotatsu (kotatsu is a Japanese low table over a kotatsu). Because of this famous phrase, I have an image of cats as animals that are somehow suited to winter, but "Summer Paws" is a game in which cats play the main role, set on an island in summer.

Summer Paws" is a sequel to "Hidden Paws" introduced in our previous cat game feature.

Hidden Paws" was a game similar to "Wally wo Sagase" (Search for Wally), in which players had to find and click on hidden cats as they traveled around snow-covered islands. One major change is that the game takes place on a warm summer island. Players will be looking for cute cats as they travel around the summer islands, where many cats live in a relaxed atmosphere. Huh?　Could this game possibly be ...... in heaven?

Besides the stage, there is one other thing that has changed from the previous game. In the previous game, the objective was to find cats that were hiding, but in this game, the rule has been changed to "find sleeping cats". In other words, clicking on a "waking cat" on the island will only soothe your feelings, but counts as a no-count in the game. Find and click on the cats that are sleeping peacefully. Well, it may be a little awkward to wake up a sleeping cat that is feeling comfortable, but ...... let's just let that part of the game go.

One of the most notable points of this work is the visual of the islands where the game takes place. The rounded, deformed cats are cute, but the islands themselves look like miniatures and are made in a very cute way. Each island has a different theme, such as an island full of plants with greenhouses, a town-like island with houses with chimneys, and an island at night with a lighthouse, so just taking a leisurely stroll around the island is enjoyable.

Cats are not always in plain sight. I am not trying to make a poem-like story (?) "Cats are always in your heart ......." The sleeping cats in this game can be hiding in unexpected places, such as inside closed bags or closed doors. Therefore, the player must click on suspicious places around the island to activate them one after another. Some of the gimmicks are elaborate, such as a door that can only be opened by pressing all three hidden buttons. I felt that this "actions players can take" element further enhances the fun of this object-hunting game.

Summer Paws" is an exciting summer island and the cats living on the island will make you feel relaxed. There are no game overs or time limits, so I especially recommend this game to those who are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable game.

When it comes to go-karting games, the "Mario Kart" series is probably the most well-known. I, too, have been a Marikart fan since the days of the Super Nintendo, and when I was in elementary school, we used to gather at my friend's house right after school and play battle mode, breaking balloons day in and day out. Those were nostalgic days. ...... So, I would like to introduce "Meow Motors," a go-kart game starring cats.

Meow Motors" is a racing game in which cute cats with a variety of personalities race around in a kart. Incidentally, "Meow" in the title is an English cat's meow, which translates to "meow" in Japanese. At this point, the game is already quite cute, but the cats in the game are also very cute with cartoon-style visuals. The smooth animations are a delight to the eyes of the player.

The player's objective in this title is to win the race by operating the go-kart in which the cats ride. The player's driving technique is essential in order to win the race: dashing to the start, drifting, and steering to avoid the many obstacles that exist on the course. As is typical in racing games, the thrilling battle to overtake and be overtaken inevitably makes the player's body move involuntarily during the race.

However, driving technique is not the only factor that determines who wins the race. As a matter of fact, there are items in this title. There are a wide variety of items, such as guns that can attack opponents in front of you and impulses that can damage enemies around you. In the "Mario Kart" series, the items you get were random, but in this title, you can get the item you are aiming for by looking at the types of item icons on the course. Of course, it requires a certain level of driving skill to get the desired item, but this item-selectable system allows the player to proceed with the race in a strategic manner.

In addition, items can be powered up by consuming gauges that are charged during the race. Thinking not only "which item to take" but also "when to use the item" is an important strategy to win the race.

Cars in this title have a durability value in the form of HP. If the car is attacked or crashes into an obstacle, the durability value will decrease and the car's movement will be negatively affected. This recovery element is one of the unique points that differentiate this title from other racing games.

Another unique element of this game is "nitro" and "oil. Nitro" is a function that temporarily boosts the speed of your vehicle to accelerate it. Cats Organized Neatly" is a puzzle game featuring cute cats. The first thing that catches the eye is the hand-drawn graphics with a gentle touch. The light colors of the graphics make the game look like a picture book, and just looking at the screen is a relaxing and soothing experience.
