A teaser PV and new characters and cast members have been revealed from the TV anime "Orient," which will begin airing in January 2022.

The manga "Orient" serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine is the latest work by Shinobu Otaka, the author of "Magi" and "Sumomo Momomo: The Strongest Yome on Earth," and is currently in its 13th volume.
It has been 150 years since a "demon god" suddenly appeared in Sengoku-era Japan and seized control of the world, and only the "samurai band" continues to fight against his rule. The story is about two young boys, Musashi and Kojiro, who have longed to become warriors, vow to form the "strongest warrior group" and take on the challenge of exterminating demons.

In addition to the royal shonen manga elements of a dream sworn to by a friend and battles with overwhelmingly powerful demons, the story also features appealing characters such as Musashi, who faces life-size conflicts with his surroundings and is sympathetic to the characters.

Riie Takahashi will play the role of Tsugumi Hattori, a young girl who belongs to the "Koamuda Bushidan" and has a sweet disposition as the youngest child, and Satoshi Hino will play the role of Naotora Takeda, the leader of the "Takeda Bushidan" who is fighting to take back Hinomoto from the hands of the "Onigami". Tsugumi is a samurai girl who belongs to the "Kozuda Bushidan" led by Hideo Kozuda. Her fighting prowess is solid and is recognized by Musashi and Kojiro.
When in trouble, she sometimes uses a "certain method" that she learned from her older sister to catch her enemies by surprise. She is the youngest of the three and is always dependent on others. In particular, he is completely attached to and obeys Hideo, who is also his adoptive father.

Naotora Takeda (CV: Satoshi Hino)
