Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings" from Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be available on October 19!

Ubisoft will release "Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings" on October 19.

The PC version will be available on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store for ¥2,640 (tax included).
For the first time, "Discovery Tour" will also be available separately for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X in the first half of 2022.

Following "Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt" and "Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece," this new expansion of educational content for "Assassin's Creed" focuses on the Vikings' rise to power in Norway and England in the 9th century under the supervision of historians and archaeologists. The game provides players with the opportunity to learn more about history and traditions through experience in an environment that is free of violence.

The development team at Ubisoft Montreal aimed to make the game more fun and educational by incorporating a story line not previously seen in the series. Players take on the role of a Viking or Anglo-Saxon character of the time and experience stories large and small, interacting with the inhabitants of the time and discovering anecdotes during their memorable adventures.

From the beginning of development, the team has worked with a wide range of partners. Numerous collaborative projects were created for "Discovery Tour," drawing on the knowledge of experts and historians in various fields, as well as the partners' collections of historical artifacts.

The museum partners who collaborated on the development of the "Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings" include.

The Hampshire Cultural Trust.
The Hampshire Cultural Trust was the main partner in the development of "Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings." The Trust operates 23 museums and art institutions in Hampshire and manages over 2.5 million internationally significant objects from Hampshire's heritage.
The Discovery Tour offers a glimpse of the people who lived in and around Winchester and includes rare objects such as a bone box from the period and the only surviving reliquary.

The British Library
The British Library, the national library of the United Kingdom, holds a vast collection of artifacts from all periods of written civilization.
Ubisoft's partnership with the British Library has made it possible to show manuscripts and pictorial materials from the period of the Vikings' existence.

The Union of French National Museums
A public and commercial institution authorized by the French Ministry of Culture to promote museums in France. It is expanding its collection by taking more than 20,000 new photographs each year, which can be viewed online from all over the world.
The Grand Palais Photo Agency is an indispensable partner for the "Discovery Tour" and its vast collection played a major role in the object representation of the "Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings".
Players will be able to see items such as the Bayeux tapestry and the Sutton Hoo helmet.

The Yorvik Archaeological Trust.
The Yorvik Viking Center operates the Yorvik Viking Center in England, which has exhibits related to the remains of life in York and Coppergate.
The "Discovery Tour" faithfully depicts some of these finds down to the smallest detail, reflecting the importance of the city's role as a communal, religious, and political center.

National Museum of Denmark
The museum has a network of 20 museums in Denmark and holds valuable items covering a large part of the country's history.
Focusing on the collections of the National Museum of Denmark adds depth to the Discovery Tour, providing insight into the beauty and craftsmanship of fine artifacts and how reputation, family, and social connections are all important elements of the story.

Preston Park Museum & Grounds
This museum is located in the Stockton-on-Tees area. It provided the Discovery Tour team with a wonderful opportunity to experience the new Anglo-Scandinavian culture that emerged from funerary art, two key elements of the Viking Age, and the Jarum helmet, one of only two Viking helmets in the world in perfect condition.
The Preston Park Museum will host a special traveling Viking exhibition in early 2022, incorporating "Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings".
