The first place was taken by "RE-MAIN" ED theme, "Kurakutte Sekai no Sekisoku wa" (The Second Hand in a Broken World), by Sogo Nakamura.

The beautiful piano melody and the dramatic tune that gradually builds up in intensity make this song impressive. In fact, this song was written and composed by Mr. Nakamura. Before becoming a voice actor, Ms. Nakamura was active as a singer-songwriter at live houses. This song is a perfect example of his talent as a singer-songwriter, and it is a song that truly brings out his artist side.
He also performed guitar and vocals at the recently held "Animelo Summer Live 2021," and it seems that his versatility will continue to spread among voice actors and anime fans.

Second place went to "Subversive" by Kanako Takatsuki. Following the first season, this song is the ED theme of "One Million Lives I Stand On" Season 2.

The bass line of the EDM sound with an emphasis on heavy bass that resonates in the lower part of the abdomen is impressive, and combined with Takatsuki's high singing ability, it would not be out of place if she were to take it straight to the floor. The music video was also created by Takatsuki herself after watching the dancers' movements on the day of filming.
Ms. Takatsuki recently announced that she is suffering from an adjustment disorder and has announced that she will take a short hiatus, but we look forward to her return as soon as possible.

Third place went to "Kodo" by virtual artist Kaguranana. This is the first anime tie-in song for Kagurana, who is active not only in music but also in the visual field as an illustrator, character designer, and Vtuber designer.

This song is the ED theme of "The Detective is Already Dead. The lyrical worldview of the song matches perfectly with Kaguranana's voice. The song has a unique mood.
As a virtual artist, she is active not only in Japan but also in China. Her success beyond national borders has also attracted many votes.

As you can see, the top songs for the summer 2021 anime ED theme were songs that show the versatility of these artists. The results truly symbolize the current anime scene, voice actor scene, and 2-D scene.

The results from No. 4 and below show the tremendous popularity of character songs by voice-over artists and voice-actors.

Tied for fourth place were Argonavis' "Potential" and Ten Amamiya's "Friisiia.

Argonavis is a band born from the media mix project "ARGONAVIS from BanG Dream! All members are voice actors who play the instruments played by the characters and perform live.
For this song, they stepped out of the framework of the work and decorated the ED of "Bokutachi no Remake" as artists. The synergy between the images of the various seasons and the gentle, positive worldview of the music is deeply moving.

On the other hand, Amamiya Ten's "Friisiia" is an emotional ballad song with a continental scale and nostalgic mood. The music video also has a Chinese atmosphere, perhaps due to the fact that it is the ED theme for the Chinese anime "Tian Guan Gifts Fortune. The makeup is also a departure from Amemiya's usual style, making it a must-see.

Also ranked in eighth place was "Lapis" by Trysail, a voice actor unit in which Ms. Amemiya participates. For fans, this summer cool must have been a very fulfilling summer season.

Also tied for 6th place were two songs by Super Chorogonz, "Meido Uizu Doragonzu ❤︎" and "Hoshi no Tabibito" by Sarasa Watanabe (CV: Ayaka Senbongi) and Ai Narada (CV: Yumiri Hanamori). Oddly enough, both songs are character songs sung by the cast as the characters in the anime.

The music video for "Meido Uizu Doragonsu ❤︎," the ED of "Kobayashi-sanchi no Maidragon S," is a fun song that seems to capture the lively atmosphere of the anime, and the cast dances as the characters they portray in the video, which is nothing short of precious.

Hoshi no Tabibito" is a song that is typical of "Kagekishojo" with its theme of theater by girls. The groove of the song is just like that of Takarazuka Revue. It is as if the characters are really singing as actors. The harmonizing between Ayaka Senbongi and Yumiri Hanamori is truly a symphony that will shake your heart. It is an overwhelming view of the world.

Two songs tied for ninth place.
Elder flower," the ED theme for "Seirei Genshi Ki," is the second single by voice actress Akuri Onishi.

It is a mature dance tune, and the music video shows many serious expressions that are different from her usual style.

While the majority of the artists are voice actors, the vocal unit Mia REGINA has a unique presence.

Mia REGINA's high singing ability makes this song a great listening experience.

It has become commonplace in recent years for voice actors to be active as artists, but this season's ED theme was so successful that it may no longer be necessary to categorize them as voice actor artists.
