The long-awaited Blu-ray box set of "Kikkou Senki Dragner," the last Sunrise real robot anime of the 1980s, will be released on March 2, 2022 (Wednesday).
This work, which aired as a follow-up to "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ," is a realistic robot anime of the last Sunrise in the 80s that advances the royal road story while portraying it with a light touch atmosphere including comedic dialogue between the characters.
The Blu-ray box set to be released this time will include all full HD remastered footage scanned in 2K from the new print master positive film.
In addition, the Blu-ray BOX will feature a three-sided back box newly drawn by Masami Ohari, an inner case newly drawn by Kenichi Onuki, and other super luxury specifications.

<STORY
In the year 2087, the military government of the unified empire "Giganos" established on the moon declared war on the nations of the earth, and using its outstanding scientific and organizational power, it has gained control over 70% of the nations of the earth, and war continues in space. One day, amid the deepening defeat of the Allied Forces on Earth, a space transport ship "Idaho" carrying refugees and classified military supplies escaped from the neutral space colony "Alucard". Alucard refuses to allow the cruiser to enter the port, but the Giganos forces use force to invade the colony. Alucard's Astronauts Academy student "Cane Wakaba" and his old friends "Light" and "Tap" encounter a man in the city who is shot dead by someone with a disk containing data on a secret weapon, and with the disk in their hands, they become involved in an engagement between Giganos forces and Idaho. There, the three men accidentally enter the cockpit of the secret weapon metal armor "Dragner" and register as pilots.
