Dengeki Bunko's legendary school magics "The Lesser Students of Magical High School" (original story by Tsutomu Sashima, illustrated by Kana Ishida) is a popular series that has sold over 20 million copies in total.Set in a world where magic has been established as a technology, the series depicts the tumultuous days of Tatsuya Shibanami and his sibling Miyuki and their friends at the so-called "Magic High School".

In June 2017, "The Movie: The Sorceress Who Calls the Stars" was released, and the second TV anime season "Magical High School The Lesser Students of Magical High School" will be broadcast from October 2020. The TV anime "Magical High School No Honor Student" will be broadcasted from July 2021, and an anime production of "The Lesser Students of Magical High School: The Reminiscence Arc" has also been decided.

Tatsuya Shiba (CV. Yuichi Nakamura)

Tatsuya Shiba (CV. Yuichi Nakamura) is a first-year junior high school student and the son of a member of the prestigious Yotsuba family of magicians. He is in his first year of junior high school. Because he was born as a "defective" mage with inferior magical powers, he is treated like a servant as Miyuki's guardian. He shows little emotion, so it is hard to tell what he is thinking, and there is no indication that he is dissatisfied with his situation as a guardian. Although her magical abilities are limited, she is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat, and at the age of 13 she is capable of defeating a military combat magician.

Miyuki Shiba (CV. Saori Hayami)

She is Tatsuya's younger sister and a first-year junior high school student. She is a direct descendant of the Yotsuba family and a candidate to be the next head of the Yotsuba family. Contrary to Tatsuya, she possesses unparalleled magical abilities. She is a beautiful girl with snow-white skin and hair as black as night. She has a complex about it and is worried that her friends say she looks like a snow woman. She has extremely high magical ability, but she is not as well trained in combat as Tatsuya is.

Midnight Shiba (CV. Kikuko Inoue)

Twin sister of Mayo, the head of the Yotsuba family. She is a powerful magician known as the "Mistress of the River of Forgetfulness," and specializes in mental interference magic. She has been in poor health since she was young due to repeated excessive use of mental interference magic. She is the biological mother of Tatsuya and Miyuki, but she has a terribly cold attitude toward Tatsuya, who has inferior magical abilities, and asks Miyuki to treat her as a servant.

Honami Sakurai (CV: Aya Endo)

A 30-year-old first-generation member of the "Sakura" series of adjusted body magicians whose magical qualities have been enhanced through genetic manipulation. She specializes in anti-matter and heat-resistance defensive magic, and her defense against single anti-matter and heat-resistance magic is one of the best among Japanese magicians.
