Presented "Super Nintendo World" and "Donkey Kong" themed areas!

Universal Studios Japan has announced the expansion of the second phase area for Super Nintendo World, which opened on March 18 this year and has attracted attention from around the world.

Super Nintendo World" is a new large-scale theme area that recreates the world of Japan's world-famous Nintendo characters and games in the real world on an overwhelming scale and quality, using Universal Studios' innovative ideas and the world's most advanced technology. The new area is a lush jungle where Donkey Kong and his friends live. Visitors will be able to enjoy the world of Donkey Kong with their entire body through theme park experiences such as food, beverage, and merchandise experiences, as well as innovative coaster-type ride attractions.

Donkey Kong" was created by Nintendo in 1981 as an arcade game and quickly swept the video game market not only in Japan but also around the world, attracting numerous fans. Since then, the series of games released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Wii, Nintendo Switch, and other platforms have been huge hits. The series has sold more than 65 million units worldwide (as of March 2021), and is one of Nintendo's game series that continue to be loved around the world.

The new "Donkey Kong" themed area is adjacent to the Mario World themed area with Peach Castle and Bowser Castle. The "Super Nintendo World" site will be expanded by 1.7 times, doubling the area's appeal.
