Transformers MPG" is now open for reservation! A new line of "Masterpiece" with a combined function!

TOMY will roll out a new line of "Transformers MPG" with a combined function from June 2022 from the "Transformers Masterpiece Series" (*2), the pinnacle toy series of the transformable robot character "Transformers" (*1).

Based on the "Masterpiece G" series, "Transformers MPG" is a new line of toys that incorporate a "GATTAI" (Giant), "GIANT" (Giant) and "GREAT! The first series is based on the theme of "trains" and features a robot "combining" with a robot.

The first product, MPG-01 Trainbot Shoki, a robot that completely transforms from the Tokaido Shinkansen Series 0, will go on sale in late June 2022 at toy specialty stores, mass merchandisers, and other toy outlets nationwide, as well as at online stores and the official TOMY shopping site "TakaraTomy Mall". Reservations for the "Takaratomy Mall" started today, October 7 (Thu.).

Trainbot Shoki is the leader of the train unit that played an active role in the 1987 animated television series "Transformers: The Headmasters. The scene where the six trains in the anime combine was one of the highlights of the show. The six train units were reproduced in a toy released around the same time, and the toy attracted a great deal of attention, partly because there were no products at the time that combined actual train robots.

The world of "Trainbot" is back with "Transformers MPG! Beginning with this first series, the company plans to release a series of six figures over the next two years, culminating in the completion of the giant robot Trainbot Raiden.
