The anime "The Prince of Tennis" started to air on TV Tokyo on October 10, 2001, and has been supported by many fans for many years with "The New Prince of Tennis" serialized in "JUMP SQ." (Shueisha) becoming a TV anime in 2012, as well as events and a theater version. The series has been supported by many fans for a long time.

The anime series "The Prince of Tennis" will celebrate its 20th anniversary on October 10, 2021. The TV series "New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP" will be aired in 2022 after the OVA series "New Prince of Tennis OVA vs Genius10" released in 2014.

The teaser visual released depicts Ryoma Echizen, representing the U.S., Kunimitsu Tezuka, representing Germany, and Houou Byodoin, captain of the Japanese national team, as they face the U-17 WORLD CUP with their own thoughts and feelings in mind.
