Blu-ray and DVD of the hit anime "Violet Evergarden the Movie" was released today, October 13, 2021 (Wednesday).

Violet Evergarden the Movie," which was released in 2020, was produced by Kyoto Animation and directed by Taichi Ishidate, and was a box-office hit, earning over 2.1 billion yen and winning the Japan Academy Prize for Excellence.

The Blu-ray and DVD versions include a standard edition with only the feature disc, and a special edition with both the feature disc and UHD-BD disc for the Blu-ray only. The special features common to all editions include a newly illustrated special case, a 66-page all-color booklet, and a special booklet featuring a special booklet with a special message from Yui Ishikawa (Violet Evergarden), Daisuke Namikawa (Gilbert Bougainvillea), Takehito Koyasu (Claudia Hodgins), and Hidenobu Kiuchi (Hidenobu Kiuchi).
