Disney+ Announces Content Lineup for Asia-Pacific Region! Disney's Twisted Wonderland" Animated Series Announced!

Today, October 14, 2021, The Walt Disney Company announced at a media and partner event in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region the extensive lineup of global, regional, and local language content to be delivered on Disney Plus. The event included a presentation by Aniplex, Inc. Among the announcements was Aniplex's plans to adapt Disney's popular smartphone game "Disney's Twisted Wonderland" into an animated series.

Disney Plus is currently available in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, and will be available in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan from November 2021.

The Walt Disney Company today announced a broad lineup of global, regional, and local language content for Disney Plus, which will premiere on October 14, 2021, including 18 original films produced in APAC. More than 20 new titles were premiered, including 18 original titles produced in APAC.

In addition to a vast lineup from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, and Star, a wide range of original stories from award-winning and up-and-coming content creators in APAC will be available.

The new project will include original works by industry-leading content creators, as well as live-action series from a number of popular star-studded drama, comedy, fantasy, romance, sci-fi, crime suspense, and horror series, and original stories from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Greater China, and Australia, Variety shows, documentaries and even animation from multiple markets, including Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Greater China and Australia. These new APAC releases will be made available in the future, depending on the situation in each region. As part of this project, the company also plans to work on over 50 APAC original productions by 2023.

Furthermore, at the event held in Tokyo, a number of contents were announced and creators and performers appeared at the event.
