TV Anime "Rust Eater Bisco" to air from January 2022! Main visual, first PV, character setting materials, and additional cast members are released!

It was announced that the TV anime of "Rust Eater Bisco," which won first place in the "This Light Novel is Amazing! 2019" (published by Takarajima-sha) in the paperback category (overall and new) for the first time ever, will begin broadcasting in January 2022.

The story is set in a future Japan where civilization has collapsed due to the "rusty wind" that rusts everything, and boys run amok in the adventure tale "Rust Eater Bisco" (Dengeki Bunko, author: Shinji Anzukubo). It was announced that "Bisco the Rust Eater," based on the amazing light novel that won the first-ever double first place in the paperback category (overall and new) in "This Light Novel is Amazing!

In addition, the main visual and the first PV have been released. In addition, the character setting materials and additional cast members have been revealed.

The anime will be directed by Atsushi Ikaritani (character designer for "ID:INVADED" and "Fate/Zero"), with series composition by Sadayuki Murai (series composition for "Knights of Sidonia") and animation production by OZ.

This fast-paced adventure fantasy will finally begin its TV anime broadcast in January 2022, and we hope you will check it out.

Bisco Akahoshi: Yoshiaki Suzuki

A "mushroom guardian" with flaming red hair and sharp eyes. He is a master with his bow and shoots arrows filled with various myceliums, causing mushrooms to bloom everywhere. He is also known as the "Man-Eating Mushroom," and is a wanted criminal with a bounty of 800,000 yen.

Nekoyanagi Miro: Hanae Natsuki

A handsome young doctor who runs a clinic in Imobehama. He is nicknamed "Dr. Panda" because of the black birthmark surrounding his left eye. He has a natural talent for medicine and continues to develop medicines by mixing illegal mushrooms in order to save his sister, Pau-u, who has been attacked by Sabitsuki.

■Nekoyanagi Pawu: Reina Kondo

A female warrior who wields an iron club and is Milo's older sister. She is the head of the vigilante group that protects the Imawahama Prefecture, and has threatening physical abilities far beyond those of ordinary people. Although she suffers from a severe case of "sabitsuki," she has tremendous willpower, and she is determined to protect her brother and the town from the mushroom defenders.

Daichagama Tyrol: Miu Tomita

A mysterious, beautiful girl with pink hair like a jellyfish. She is clever and quick-witted, but she is very tight with money. She is also a member of the Black Leather Guard, but her real job is a traveling merchant who calls himself "Jellyfish Shop. He and Bisco's group run into each other at various places.

Jabi: Shiro Saito

A hero of mushroom guardians, he was once called the "bow saint" and is Bisco's mentor. He has been traveling across Japan with Bisco for a certain purpose, but he is aware that his life is short and is worried about Bisco's future after his death.

Black Leather: Kenjiro Tsuda

The governor of Imohama Prefecture. He rules the town with his SS, masked by the rabbit-faced mascot "Immy-kun. He plots to obtain Milo for his career, and after meeting Visco, who has also come to Imawahama, he becomes unusually obsessed with his arrest.

＜Introduction
In Japan, the "rusty wind" that makes everything rust is blowing.
People are living in fear of the rust that is eating away at their cities and their lives.
Bisco Akahoshi, a boy of the abhorred "Mushroom Guard" family, is on a journey in search of the "Rust Eater," an elixir mushroom that purifies all rust, in order to save his dying master.
On his journey, he meets a beautiful young doctor named Miro Nekoyanagi in Imihama, who is also searching for a way to cure the rust that is eating away at his beloved sister.
