Maxime Durand, Director of Design, Ubisoft Montreal
We wanted to portray the rich and complex Viking era in the Discovery Tour," said Maxime Durand, Director of Design, Ubisoft Montreal. With this new approach, players will experience history through the eyes of the people of the time. Our goal was to make this a fun game, but also an effective learning tool."

■Curriculum Guide also available
Discovery Tour: The Age of the Vikings was developed in close collaboration with historians, archaeologists and academic institutions to provide up-to-date information about the period. It allows visitors to learn about 150 historical highlights of the Vikings, including war and politics, daily life, religion and music, myths and legends, science and law, art and culture, trade and economics, and much more.

For teachers and students unfamiliar with the game, a curriculum guide is also available for use in educational purposes. Based on a grant from Mitacs and with the cooperation of McGill University, activities and lessons were created for different subjects and school ages.
