New Game Review] More stylish, more speedy, and more user-friendly! Enjoyable by men and women of all ages, "White Steel Ix 2" is the latest mode of 2D action games!

Tokyo Game Show 2021, the world's largest game trade fair, was held from September 30 to October 3, 2021.

For the first time in two years, the show was held for real visitors (only press reporters and influencers were allowed to enter), and many topical and new games were available for test play.

Introduced this time is "White Steel Ix 2," a new 2D action game scheduled to be released by Inti Creates on January 27, 2022.

This title is a sequel to "Ix of White Steel THE OUT OF GUNVOLT" released in 2019, and is one of the most exhilarating with its traditional 2D action game fun, speedy and stylish action and presentation.

Inti Creates is no stranger to 2D action, having developed the "Blue Lightning Gunvolt" series and the "Mega Man" series, among many others. The game has just the right amount of exhilaration, just the right level of difficulty, and just the right feel of control, making it a truly enjoyable game to play.

The main points of this game are its various systems, such as the "Break Wheel," a ground-based three-strike attack, the "Recoil Dash," a ground dash, the "Blitz Dash," a high-speed aerial dash, the "Lock-on Wheel," a homing shot, and the "Hyper Guard," which reduces all damage to 1.

The "Break Wheel" is a series of attacks triggered by continuously pressing the attack button. By using this attack to quickly defeat an enemy, the player earns bonus points called Kudos.

Recoil Dash. An action that can blow away enemies and obstacles.

When you hit an enemy with the "Blitz Dash," which can be activated by dashing while jumping, you lock on to the enemy. Once locked on, various attacks have tracking capabilities.

After locking on, activating the "Break Wheel" continuous attack turns it into the "Lock-on Wheel," a homing attack that can be fired in auto succession.

And the "Hyper Guard" is the ultimate defensive posture, reducing the damage of any enemy attack to 1. The "Hyper Guard" state is entered by holding down no buttons. If an enemy's attack is too fierce to avoid, it is a good idea to look for an opportunity to counterattack.

A nice feature for beginners is that the full strength command can be used at any time and as many times as necessary. Call up your partner, RoRo, to get out of a pinch.

Of course, you can also play without relying on RoRo.

And then, just when you think you've got it...! Special move when you need it!

When you are on the defensive, you can endure patiently, and when you go on the offensive, you can slaughter your enemies with speedy actions. This fast and furious action is the unique charm of this game. We hope you will enjoy it!
