Shinichi Ishizuka, the author of the original manga, said, "I have received many comments about the sound coming from the manga. It is all music that was sounded by the rich imagination of our readers. This time, for the film adaptation, an amazing group of people have come together to create music that you can imagine, or perhaps even more so." (full text listed separately).

As Mr. Ishizuka comments, "sound" is the key to this work.
The production team's desire to "deliver the music played by the main character himself at the highest volume and in the best sound quality" led to the decision to produce the film as an animated movie, rather than a live-action film or a series, despite the various options available for the first film adaptation. The film is currently in production to deliver a moving experience on the big screen in movie theaters and with the best sound quality.

The film is scheduled to be released in 2022. Stay tuned for more information on the director, production studio, and other details.

In addition, a special illustration drawn by Mr. Ishizuka, which conveys the excitement and anticipation of something great about to happen just before the live performance, has arrived.

Shinichi Ishizuka, author of the original work, comments in full
When I was drawing the performance scene, I was thinking, "I hope the sound will be heard! I was thinking, "I wish it would make a sound! And now, finally, it will be a movie that really makes sounds...it's a great thing.

So far, we have received many comments about the sound coming from the manga. It is all music made possible by the rich imagination of our readers. This time, for the film adaptation, an amazing group of people have come together to create music that you can imagine, or perhaps even more than that.

I believe that "BLUE GIANT" will be a completely new animated film that readers, those who have not read the manga, those who do not know jazz, and children and adults alike will enjoy. I myself am looking forward to its completion!
