The "Mobile Suit Gundam Kutani Yaki" is a product that is a magnificent fusion of Mobile Suit Gundam and Kutani Yaki, a traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture, a traditional culture of Kaga Hyakumangoku, which has passed 360 years since its inception of "Kutani".

This product is the fifth in the "Discovery-G" series, which promotes Japanese traditions and excellent techniques from the "Gundam Cafe," the information dissemination base for "Mobile Suit Gundam.

Kutani Yaki Gundam rice bowl Iidaya-style red painting in the style of Iidaya, the founder of Kutani, is dedicated to Char. This rice bowl expresses Zaku for Char in a style that uses many detailed figures drawn by fine red lines, fills in the surrounding area with small patterns, and creates a sense of elegance by applying gold coloring.

Kutaniyaki is characterized by a technique called gosai, in which a thick layer of five colors of Japanese paints (red, yellow, green, purple, and navy blue) is applied on top of black lines drawn with gosu (a type of mineral pigment). The bold and picturesque overglaze paintings of landscapes, flowers, birds, and other patterns give a powerful impression.

This time, famous scenes from Gundam are depicted in the representative styles of Koya, Kigome, Yoshidaya, Iidaya, and Shozo among Kutani ware.
