Meireskembu, the humanoid special mobile weapon from "Boundary Warfare Machine," is now available as a giant standing statue! Crowdfunding starts on November 1!

To commemorate the release of the new robot animation "Boundary Warfare Machine," a crowdfunding campaign to create a giant standing statue of the humanoid special mobile weapon "Meireskembu" will begin on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 12:00 pm.

Boundary War Machine will be directed by Nobuyoshi Habara, creator of "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" and "Soukyu no Fafner," and will feature character design by Kenichi Onuki of "Gundam Build Fighters" and "MAJOR," as well as notable mechanical design by Kenichi Onuki of "Gundam Build Fighters" and "MAJOR. The film's mechanical design team includes Yuya Koyanagi from KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN led by Kiyoyuki Okuyama, Kanetake Ebikawa from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00," Kenji Teraoka from "Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE," Ippei Katabe from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blood Orphens," and many more! This is a next generation high quality robot animation created by SUNRISE BEYOND and BANDAI SPIRITS, bringing together a splendid production team including Mr. Kenji Teraoka of "Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE" and Mr. Ippei Katabe of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.

The work is about the duo of Amou Shiiba, the 16-year-old protagonist who is not good at socializing, and Gai, an autonomous thinking AI, and their efforts to take back Japan. The original work is characterized by powerful battle scenes and a profound storyline. It was announced that the film is being produced with the aim of creating a robot animation that will be handed down to the next generation, and is scheduled for release this fall.

Outline of the project

To commemorate the start of the TV anime airing in October 2021, a project has been launched to produce a giant standing statue of AMAIM "Kembu," a humanoid special mobile weapon.

Message from Director Nobuyoshi Habara

I was shocked by the robot animation I saw as a child and learned a lot from it, and I still cherish the excitement I felt then. I still feel that the change of heart and the courage to face the challenges depicted in animation are universal, and I would like to convey them to as many people as possible through my works.
In Boundary War Machine, 16-year-old boys are buddies with AI (Artificial Intelligence) installed in a robot. The robot's movements are assisted by the AI and directly reflect the emotions of the pilot, so viewers will feel a pleasant outpouring of emotion. The robots in this work are "hand-drawn" rather than CG, and their poses and movements, which can only be achieved through drawing, create a powerful screen presence. Also, please enjoy the process in which "Guy," a hot-blooded autonomous thinking AI, and "Amou," a boy who somehow feels uneasy about the future, become buddies, which is one of the features of this work.

In Boundary War Machine, the story takes place in various parts of Japan. In other words, the entire story is Amou's journey. Standing statues will also appear in various locations around Parco, and we hope that everyone will feel as if they are traveling along with Amou-kun!
