TV anime "Wizard Reign" to begin airing in April 2022! Produced by Tezuka Productions and starring Shuichiro Umeda!

TV anime "Wizard Reign" will air on TBS from April 2022. Visuals and cast information have arrived.

The story takes place in the dawn of time, only a few years after the peace between the church and witches, who had been at odds with each other for 500 years, was established. The main character, Saville, attends a magic school, but her grades are always at the bottom of the class. For some reason, he has lost his memory of the time before he entered the school, and spends his school life in a vacuum, not knowing who he is or what his purpose is.

One day, however, his life changes drastically. The dean of the school of magic ordered him to participate in a dangerous special training program. This is an authentic fantasy in which Saville, along with his friends who have hidden their heartbreaks, faces numerous trials and intrigues to discover who he really is.

The cast features Shuichiro Umeda as the main character, Saville, who attends the Royal School of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias with the goal of "becoming a wizard. Miho Okazaki plays the role of Lo Christus, a witch who has lived for hundreds of years and is known as "Reimei.
Sayumi Suzushiro plays Holt, an honor student at the Royal School of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias who always has a smile on her face. Taku Yashiro plays Kudou, a being born with the characteristics of an animal known as a "beast fallen.

A student at the Royal School of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias. He has lost his memory before entering the school, and because of this, he sees no value in his existence other than magic, and his goal is to "become a wizard. However, his grades are at the bottom of the class, and he is ordered to participate in a special training program as a way to avoid being expelled from school. She is an honest but overly introverted person, and is not very attuned to the subtleties of other people's feelings, including her own.

What is your impression of the character you are playing and your enthusiasm for the role?
When I first saw Saville, I was impressed by her facial expression. You can't judge a person by his or her appearance, but I believe that the inside of a person can be seen in his or her expression, so I naturally became interested in him or her. Now that I have read the story, he is a lovable character.
Saville doesn't know much about himself or his surroundings. I hope I can play the part of him as he gradually changes through spending time with Dr. Ross, Holt, and Kudoh. I will also do my best to make sure that when the moment is right, Saville is also captivating!

Lo CHRISTUS
CV: Miho Okazaki

She is a witch who has lived for hundreds of years and is known as "Dawn. She has made a contract with the demon "Ludens' Magic Staff," which sucks the magic power of anyone it touches, by giving all of her magic power to it. She can therefore wield great power through the magic wand, but she cannot use magic alone. He is not a teacher, but in order to fulfill a certain purpose, he takes on the role of "teacher" to lead Saville and his friends on their way to a special training session.

Impression of this work
The character designs are cute and there are many comical scenes, but each character is really cool. No matter which character's point of view you are in, you can feel their aspirations, joys, and sometimes their pains. I was so emotionally involved that I read the book in one sitting.
Although the story takes place in a world with magic and witchcraft, I thought it was like a textbook where we can learn the importance of human relationships and how to relate and open our hearts through the main character, Saville, which is applicable even today!

What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for the role?
He looks cute! And super strong! What I like most about her is that she is affectionate. I am attracted to the way she leads her students with steadfast love, even when she says she is just bored. I am also attracted to her cool face she shows in battle, her funny face she shows in gag scenes, her intelligence and capacity as a teacher, and the gap between her 300 years of age and her dickishness.
I will do my best to play her richly and freely so that my partner, Ludence, will recognize me too. Flap your wings, my beloved little birds!

Like Seville, she is a student at Wenias Royal School of Magic. She is an honor student with excellent grades and always has a smile on her face, but surprisingly, she is the type of person who has clear likes and dislikes about people. She is also fond of Lo Christus, who has a wealth of knowledge about magic.

What is your impression of this film?
The more I read the story, the more I was impressed by the characters and their charms! I was reading the story without losing track of time. I was also excited to see "The Book of Magic: Starting from Zero," which I am going to be a part of, and I am looking forward to watching the anime.

What is your impression of the character you are playing and your enthusiasm for the role?
When I first saw Holt-chan, I had the impression that she was cheerful and smiling, and that just by being around her, her surroundings would become more colorful. However, as I read more and more about her, I learned that her brightness and smile have a meaning, and I felt even more affectionate toward her. I will do my best to bring out the best of Holt-chan's charms in the anime as well, so thank you very much for your support!

■Kudo
CV: Taku Yatsushiro
Kudo is a student at Wenias Royal School of Magic and one of the participants in the special training program. He is a being born with the characteristics of an animal, and looks somewhere between a lizard and a human. He has a strong sense of justice and is a law-abiding person, although his coarse and cynical behavior is noticeable.　He is also incapable of lying, as his body color changes with his emotions.

I was very moved by the worldview of magic, which is a major keyword, and the conflicts and deepening relationships between the different races and justice that lurk within it. The deep storyline, of course, but also the pop scenes that appear here and there, are a favorite element of the film, as they give me a sense of relief.

What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
Kudo has a strong sense of justice and is honest about his feelings. However, he is clumsy and unable to express his feelings to others, which I feel is part of his charm. He also has a big complex because of his past events, but I think this is what gives him a purpose in life. I am happy to be able to play the role, and I will do my best.
