So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! Weekend Plastic Model! The 40th issue has begun!

Vol. 40 MODEROID "BRIGHTER

This time, from Good Smile Company' s MODEROID series comes a kit of "BRIGHTER," the main mecha from the anime "Galactic Whirlwind BRIGHTER!

The too-famous narration of the anime begins with the words, "In the shadow of the shining stars in the night sky, a badass's laughter reverberates. The opening line of the anime "Galactic Whirlwind Braiger" is a very famous narration that starts with the words "In the shadow of the shining stars in the night sky, the badass laugh echoes. Moreover, this kit is an excellent kit that can reproduce exactly three forms.

Let's start with the package.

The front and sides of the kit can be unfolded to form a single illustration. The sun and the streak of light above it were inspired by the beginning of the OP at the time. The front depicts Brygger, and the sides depict Brythander and Brystar.

The runners are truly colorful. Pre-assembled parts are provided for the hip joints, similar to those of the MODEROID Raijin-O. There are also a number of pre-painted parts that, when combined with stickers, can be used to recreate almost any color scheme from the movie.

The full-color instruction manual is a familiar MODEROID feature. The colors of the parts are easy to understand and assembly goes smoothly.

The assembly process was live-streamed on YouTube, so please check the archive here if you like.

The briger is completed when assembled according to the instruction manual, but we dare to introduce it from the bric-a-brac form here!

Brynthander, the pride of Superpolis.

As you can see, it is a supercar, but it can also run through outer space as it is, a super machine made by Edmon's father.

The figure from the front is impressive because it was also depicted in the ED theme.

On the side of the machine, there is a sticker of "Wolf's mark" which makes even outlaws tremble.

The style is outstanding. The tires are fixed, so it is not possible to drive the Korogashi.

The silhouette from above is also perfect.

The bottom and front parts have suspension-like details.

Massive bumper and bold exhaust. This area may be painted in silver.

Using the 3mm joint holes on the bottom of the body, you can use a commercially available display stand such as The Simple Stand to recreate the flying state.

Next is Blythe Star in flight form!

Bowie: "Blythe Synchron Alpha!"

First, disassemble the Blythe Thunder.

Then, prepare the parts to be used in the Blythe Star form.

First, insert the waist part between the rear of the fuselage and the cockpit, which was not the "lawless waist J section" .......

Let the extension intake parts connect to both arms of the briger ......

Connect to both sides of the cockpit.

Insert the nose part of the bristler into this long connecting shaft ......

The nose cone that was stored inside is pushed out.

The rear part of the fuselage is moved to the left and right. (The left side of the image has already been transformed.) If you have ever touched Takatoku's toys from the time when the TV anime was aired, you may have a grin on your face.

However, the evolution of the figure is as expected. It is a little different from the original product, and has been rearranged to make good use of the movable knee joints in the BRIGHER form.

If you are interested in the original, please click here. (Please ignore the farce at the beginning.
It is very interesting to see how the deformation method is similar to that of this kit.

After completing the left and right deployment, attach the red exterior parts for the Brygger to the sides, fold down the bumpers, and connect the thruster parts to the center of the fuselage.

Deploy the triangular part at the rear of the fuselage.

Attach the wing parts for the bristler to it.

Attach the shape-locking joints on the bottom,

Blythe Star " is completed, flying far away with a daredevil on board!

The figure is exactly as it appeared in the anime!

The joint holes on the bottom of the fuselage allow you to display it in flight, as if it were a hundred thousand light years away, with stars twinkling in the sky.

The sharp nose cone is very sharp and impressive. In contrast, the rear is quite angular.

The style is outstanding, thanks in part to the fact that it is a replaceable deformable model!

The silhouette seen from above is also perfect!

Now let's go to the last one, the Brygger form!

Isaac: "It's the Bry-synchronized Maxim!"

Bowie: "OK! Bry-synchronized Maxim!"

Remove the bottom locking parts.

Remove the wing parts, fold the triangular parts, and attach the toe blocks.

Extend the legs backward,

Attach the red panel on the inside of the calf with the thigh parts facing forward so that it looks like the right side of the image.

Remove the shoulder intake parts and separate the nose and cockpit block from the main body.

Attach the nose block to the hooks on the back.

Attach the wrists to both arms. ......

Deploy the chest plate!

Attach the head, and the Bryxcron Maxim is complete!

The "Brygger" is complete! Yay!

I was so impressed with the mobility of the figure that I decided to pose it right away.

Look at how well the style and color scheme are reproduced!

Multiple parts of the head, including the face, are pre-painted. The complex color scheme of the chest plate is reproduced with stickers. The blue and gray parts of the chest are painted, while the black parts are reproduced with stickers.

The rest of the coloring is reproduced with molded colors. It is well thought out in the right place at the right time.

The white and red lines on the waist and the white surface of the center portion are stickers. The circle of the wrist is also stickers. The rest of the body is color-coded with molded colors.

The legs are pre-painted, with light blue knees and white lower shins.

Next, let's take a look at the movable parts.

The chest plate can swing slightly at the connection. The neck is connected with a ball joint, so as you can see, it moves very well.

Shoulders can rotate 90 degrees horizontally with a pull-out joint, and 360 degrees at the connection between the body and arms. It can also swing back and forth to a certain degree.

Roll rotation is possible with the two arms. The elbows are double-jointed and can bend nearly 180°.

The wrists can of course rotate at the connection; each of the three claws can open and close independently.

The waist can rotate 360° at the waist connection. Can also swing slightly to the left and right at the chest connection.

Hip joint can slide up and down. Roll rotation is possible at the upper and lower thighs, respectively. Useful for a variety of poses.

Legs can be opened to this position.

Front and rear leg openings are very flexible as the waist armor can be opened.

The ankles slide up and down and are connected with ball joints, so ground contact is not a problem.

The knees can also bend 180 degrees.

Speaking of Bryger, we often saw him fighting with his characteristic claw.

In the movie, he often kicked rather than kicked.

Kid "Blythe Sword!

The flame released from the shutter on the chest becomes a sword. The blade is painted and the wolf mark is a sticker.

Kidd: "Well then, let's go for it!"
Bryger swings powerfully.

Kid "Deyaa!

The wrist parts are firm, so you can hold the weapon firmly.

The arms are also highly articulated, allowing for a variety of actions.

Kid "Bryce spear!

The weapon, which is bigger than the Blythe Sword, can be easily held in one hand.

The long weapon can be held with both hands.

The weapon is raised boldly with both hands. The strength of the legs is very impressive.

Of course, it is possible to hold two weapons at the same time.

In addition to melee weapons, additional equipment was also available for the Brygger.

Edmon said, "Isaac, take it! It's a bry cannon!"

The Bry Cannon can be reproduced in a retracted state.

Connected to the block on the back.

Extend the barrel and deploy the cannon while deploying the grip.

Grab it with both hands.

Cannon base also includes a swinging gimmick to the left and right.

Kid: "All right, I'll give it back to you in one piece! Bry cannon, shot!"

Even the hollows are detailed.

In addition, a face part with a shouting face and a shape-oriented chest plate part are included.

The movable plate is not unnatural, but this brings the figure even closer to the anime.

A joint at the waist allows for bold poses using the stand.

The shouting face is also very powerful in close-up.

Even in a smart standing pose, Bryger looks great.

Finally, I would like to try to reproduce a variation of Bryger in a simple way.

Many of you may be thinking, "Variations of Brygger?" I'm sure many of you are thinking "Brygger's variations?

Please take a look.

Now, let's see. Some of you may recognize this red briger!

"Ah! I remember now! You may even say, "I remember it now!

This is a reproduction of the plastic kit "Real Form" color released by Mark at that time.

The color scheme is slightly different between the package illustration and the paint sample, so this time, I tried to get an idea of the atmosphere of both, but still, just for the sake of a "weekend plastic model," I only partially painted it with GI Creos' lacquer paint "Adzuki" to make it easier, but I think it gives it a nostalgic atmosphere.

In addition to Bryger, the main mecha in the "J9 series" were all available in "real color" products like this.

Although the release has not been announced yet, when Bakushinger and Sasliger are released as MODEROID products, I would like to try to reproduce them in realistic colors as well as introduce the kits to the public.

Taiyuki loves robots. If there is a plastic model, I'll be there in a heartbeat!
