A psychological game of betrayal! Bessatsu Shonen Magazine's "Tomodachi Game" will be adapted into a TV anime on Nippon Television Network Corporation and others!

The popular comic "Tomodachi Game" will be adapted into a TV anime on NTV and BS Nittele in April 2022.

Tomodachi Game" (written by Mikoto Yamaguchi and Tomoo Sato) is a popular manga serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. It depicts a group of five friendly high school students, Tomokazu Katagiri, Tenchi Mikasa, Shiho Sawaragi, Makoto Shibu, and Yutori Shinki, who suddenly find themselves involved in an unreasonable debt repayment game. The total number of copies sold has exceeded 3.7 million (paper + electronic), and two live-action dramas and a movie were produced in 2017.

The long-awaited TV anime adaptation has now been decided. The teaser visual, cast and staff have been announced.

The teaser visual depicts the five members happily spending their days together, but a suspicious shadow appears in the background, giving the impression of disquiet.
It will be interesting to see what will happen to their tightly knit friendship in the future.

The main character, Tomokazu Katagiri, who values friendship above all else, is played by Chiaki Kobayashi.
As friends who will challenge the extreme game together with Tomokazu, Daiki Hamano will play Tenchi Mikasa, a genius with excellent communication skills; Yume Miyamoto will play Shiho Sawaragi, an honor student with a strong sense of justice; Tomotaka Ohno will play Makoto Shobe, a rich but lovable mood maker; and Satomi Amano will play Yutori Shinki, a mature and kind-hearted girl. I read the original story when I auditioned for the role, and I was so thrilled to be involved in the "Tomodachi Game" that I found myself immersed in the story. In this work, there are many scenes in which "money" and "friendship" are weighed against each other, and I think this work can be enjoyed to the fullest because of its unrealistic world.
