On November 8, Theatre Echo, her theater company, announced that Yoshiko Ota ( real name: Yoshiko Saka ), a voice actress and actress, died of heart failure on October 29. She was 89 years old. The funeral was held by his family.

Mr. Ota began his career as a voice actor in the 1960s.
He played the main roles in Osamu Tezuka's works such as Leo in "Jungle Emperor" and Sapphire in "Knight of the Ribbon," Atsuko Kagami (Akko-chan) in "Himitsu no Akko-chan (first film)," Nobita Nobi in "Doraemon (first film)" broadcast on Nippon TV, Gan-chan/Yatterman No.1 in "Yatterman," and many more. He has played numerous popular characters, and is a contributor to the early days of Japanese animation.
In 2016, he was honored by the Tokyo Anime Awards Festival 2016 (TAAF2016) in the category of Animation Merit.

He worked not only in animation, but also in various fields such as live-action works and dubbing for foreign films.
