MAPPA-produced "Gaket Kegurui-Sou" to be distributed exclusively on Netflix! The story of Meari Saotome and her childhood friend Tsuzura Hanatemari

The third installment of the "Gaket Kegurui" anime series, "Gaket Kegurui Sou," will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Netflix from August 2022.

The anime "Gaket Kegai Grui" series is based on the manga of the same name that has been serialized in the monthly "Gan Gun JOKER" since 2014. Set at the prestigious Hyakkaou Academy, a private school with a class system governed by gambling, the main character, Yumeko Jabami, challenges the student council through gambling with her friends, including Meari Saotome.
MAPPA adapted this popular work into the TV anime "Gaket Kegurui" in 2017 and "Gaket Kegurui xx" in 2019, which attracted a lot of attention.

The original story of "Kake Kegurui-Sou", which will be distributed this time, is a gambling tale by Meari Saotome, which has been serialized in the same magazine since 2015. The story is a prequel to "Gakke Gurui," which begins one year before Yumeko Snake transfers to her new school (......), when Meari Saotome, a very ordinary girl, is admitted as an editor.

At the "Netflix Festival Japan 2021" held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, it was announced that the anime "Kaket Kegurui-Sou" will be distributed exclusively worldwide as a Netflix series in August 2022.

The teaser visual depicts the confident main character, Meari Saotome, and her childhood friend, Tsuzura Hanatemari, smiling at each other and their relationship.

As in the past, "MAPPA" will be producing the series, and Mimi Tanaka will continue to voice the main character, Meari Saotome! Expectations are high for how she will portray Meari, from an ordinary girl to a girl who throws herself into gambling.

The worldwide collaboration between "ShinO Alice" and "Kake Kegurui xx" has also been decided!

Furthermore, a world collaboration between the worldwide hit smartphone battle fantasy RPG "SINoALICE -SinoALICE-" and the anime "Kakegurui xx" will be held in the spring of 2022!
The Japanese and global versions of the game will be held simultaneously around the world (excluding some countries and regions).

During the collaboration period, characters from "Gaket Kegai Grui xx" will appear in the world of ShinO Alice, and a special original collaboration scenario will also appear. Details will be released at a later date, so please look forward to it.
