The PlayStation.Blog has now published a secret story about the new mechanical beasts that will appear in "Horizon Forbidden West".
The development studio talks about the giant mammoth type, new flying mechanical beasts, and other fascinating aspects of the game.

The mechanical beasts in "Horizon Forbidden West" can jump, swim, stick around, and move in every way imaginable. To accommodate these, new behaviors have been added to Aarloi. Aarloi is also adept at investigating and planning before encountering danger, and at escaping if things don't go according to plan, so we've put a lot of emphasis on those as well.
