SQUARE ENIX to hold "Koichi Sugiyama Farewell Party" for the general public on Saturday, December 11.

Square Enix announced that it will hold a farewell party (general session) for Koichi Sugiyama, a composer who passed away on September 30, 2021.

The outline of the farewell party for Koichi Sugiyama is as follows.


Date and time: Saturday, December 11, 2021, general session from 14:00 to 17:00
Place: Tsukiji Honganji Temple Main Hall (3-15-1 Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo)

The "Officials' Section," which will open at 11:00 a.m. on the same day, is scheduled to be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel.

On September 30, 2021, composer Koichi Sugiyama passed away.
Mr. Koichi Sugiyama composed the music for our game series "Dragon Quest" for many years and contributed to the development of the series. We would like to hold a farewell party in memory of Mr. Sugiyama and would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
