P.A. WORKS to Adapt "Palipi Komei" into a TV Anime! Teaser PV and visuals revealed! Starring Ryutaro Okiayu and Kaede Motowatari!

The TV anime adaptation of "Palipi Komei," a remarkable comic that began in "Comic DAYS" and has been serialized in "Young Magazine," has been decided and will begin airing in April 2022.

In "Palipi Komei," Zhuge Komei, a genius military strategist and hero of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," is reincarnated in Shibuya. In order to fulfill the dream of Eiko Tsukimi, a fledgling artist, he will revolutionize the music scene together with Eiko as a military strategist.

The original story will be serialized on "Comic DAYS," a manga app and webcomic distribution site operated by Kodansha, starting in 2019; it won the "U-NEXT Award" in the web manga category of the "Next Comic Award" in 2020, becoming a hot topic, and has extended its power to serialization in "Young Magazine" in November 2021. In November 2021, it was serialized in "Young Magazine," and is now a hot manga.

The TV animation "Palipi Komei" will be produced by "P.A. WORKS," which has mainly produced original animation works such as "SHIROBAKO" and "Aquatope of White Sand," and will begin broadcasting in April 2022, its first animation production based on a manga.

The director is Osamu Honma, who directed the TV anime "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" and "From Tomorrow in a Colorful World," and the series is composed by Yoko Yoneuchiyama, who has been active in the TV anime "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" series and in movies and stage productions such as "I, Think, Furie, Furire. The character design and chief animation director is Kanami Sekiguchi, who worked on the "SHIROBAKO" series and "Sakura Quest" as chief animation director.
