Sequel after 7 years! TV anime "Utawarerumono: Two White Emperors" teaser PV & cast comments released!

The TV anime "Utawarerumono: Two White Emperors" will start airing in July 2022. The teaser PV and cast information have been released.

The final chapter of Aqua Plus' flagship "Utawareru Mono" series, "Utawareru Mono: Two White Emperors," which has gained worldwide popularity for its unique Japanese-style worldview and epic storyline with unique characters.

The decision to produce a TV anime in 2019 was only reported, but it has been decided that the broadcast will begin in July 2022.

In addition, a teaser visual newly drawn by Mitsumi Misato and Amaroki, character designers of the "Utawareru Mono" series, has been released.
It depicts Akurka, the mask of Oshtol who fought a fierce battle in "Utawarerumono: The False Mask," and Haku and his friends who have taken over his will.

In addition, a teaser PV of the latest anime footage and the first group of cast and main staff were also released.
Oshtol (Haku) is played by Kentaro Tone, Quon by Risa Taneda, Ange by Chinatsu Akasaki, and Nekone by Inori Minase.

The series will be directed by Kenichi Kawamura, with series composition by Itsuki Yokoyama, character design and chief animation director Masahiko Nakata, music by Aquaplus, and animation production by WHITE FOX.

Before the series begins airing in July 2022, "Utawarerumono Nisari no Kamen" will be rebroadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 from January 2022! Let's look back on the story of Haku and his friends as we prepare for the final chapter of the series.

He succeeds General Yamato Ukonoe, entrusted by his late friend Oshtor with the mask and the future of the Princess and Nekone. With his fame as Oshtol and the friends he had made during his life as Haku, he works to regain Ange's imperial throne. He struggles to stand up against the imperial court army.

Q1: This is the first sequel to "Utawarerumono: The False Mask" in 7 years. Could you tell us about your feelings and enthusiasm for playing the role once again?
I will be playing the role of Haku, replacing Keiji Fujiwara. I had many conflicts before assuming the role, but I realized that there was something I could do only because I had lived by Haku's side as Ukon/Oshtor. There were many difficult scenes, such as double or triple acting, due to the circumstances in the production, but each time I would replay the game with Mr. Fujiwara in my mind. I will put my heart and soul into my performance so that Haku can be present in front of you as Haku, and so that I can run through the story to the end.

Q2: Do you have a message for those who are looking forward to this film?
Thank you for your patience! No, I may have made you wait too long! It has already been 7 years since the "False Mask" anime, so many of you must have been waiting for it. I am one of them! I can't stop being excited to see those characters in action in an anime! I can't stop being excited to see those characters in action! Utaware is the best! Well, normally, as a viewer, I would have been able to rejoice unreservedly, but I am burdened with a heavy responsibility.... ■Quon cv Risa Taneda
She has beastly ears and tail with glossy fur. She is a pharmacist, and although she is young, she is very skilled at it. She returns to her hometown of Tuskur with a broken heart after being informed of Haku's death by Haku, who has taken the form of Oshtol. The shock of losing Haku causes him to temporarily lose his memory.

Ange is the princess of Yamato, the great country of Japan.
After the fall of the emperor, she was poisoned and weakened by someone's plot, but is now recuperating in Ennakamui, the home of Oshtolu and Nekone. When she hears about a fake imperial princess who speaks Ange's name, she stands up to reclaim the position of imperial princess left to her by her father, the emperor.

I was deeply moved to be able to interact with familiar characters after a long time.
There are parts that feel nostalgic and parts that feel fresh, and I feel the joy of being immersed in the world of "Utawarerumono"! In the previous work, Ange was a selfish princess. I would like to play the role of Ange, who was a selfish princess in the previous work, and I would like to carefully watch her rise up and grow up in order to get Yamato back!

The younger sister of Ochtl.
Her own actions led to the loss of Oshtol, and she feels remorse for having taken away Haku's life, which has driven her into a mental corner. She tries to fulfill her late brother's will by supporting and devoting herself to Haku, who has taken the place of Ochtol.

Nekone is a character with her own doubts, weaknesses, and regrets.
