Golden Kamui" (written by Satoru Noda) is a popular manga serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" that won the 22nd Osamu Tezuka Cultural Award "Manga Grand Prize. It is a "Japanese-style dark pot western" that depicts action and suspense over buried treasure, hunting, gourmet food, and other aspects of Ainu culture.
The previous TV anime, the third season, was broadcast from the fall of 2020.

I have been directing the first three seasons of "Golden Kamui" and what I have found is that the original work is wonderful and the anime adaptation is difficult.
Golden Kamui" is a work with a strong storyline, historical reality, Ainu and ethnic minority language and culture, action and gags, and undertones that are difficult to express, so it is a work that has a high hurdle to overcome in terms of its anime adaptation.
This is why it was a work that was worth challenging. The hurdle has been raised even higher in the fourth season.
I am confident that Chief Director Sugahara and the Brains Base production staff, who will be taking over the baton this time, will boldly take on this high hurdle and produce an even more fulfilling finished product than the previous series! We are rooting for you! Please do your best!

＜Introduction

Saichi Sugimoto, a.k.a. "the immortal Sugimoto," and an Ainu girl named Ashi-Ri-pa are separated after a fierce battle that took place in Abashiri Prison. Ashi(ri)pa, together with Yutake Shiraishi, the "King of Jail Breakers," was taken by Kirolanke and Momonosuke Ogata to Karafuto, the place where her father's footprints are still visible. Now that "Nophelabo," the man responsible for robbing the Ainu of their gold, is dead, only his daughter Ashi(li)pa can unlock his secret.
