Let's decorate your living space with cute Sumikko! I played with "Sumikko Gurashi Sumikko Park Coffee Cup 2" by Takara Tomy Arts! Shokugan Road Vol. 27

Hello everyone! This is Kariyasu☆, a hobby writer. In this corner, I'll be reviewing, modifying, and playing around with toys and miniatures that interest me, under the theme of "Shokugan for Adults. In this 27th installment, we will be looking at Sumikko Gurashi Sumikko Park Coffee Cup 2 Minikko together, which is currently on sale from Takara Tomy Arts!

Since its creation in 2012, the popular Sumikko Gurashi series has been supported by people of all ages and both men and women. From this series comes the second version of the Sumikko Gurashi Sumikko Park Coffee Cup, which has already been on sale! This time, the coffee cup is transparent and comes with a "Minicco"!

Here's what makes me happy!

The coffee cups can be turned by hand!

When you collect all kinds, you can put all Sumikko figures on one cup!

You can play with the Sumikko Gurashi Sumikkonna Mainichi series (sold separately)!

Inside the box are two pre-colored coffee cups and two figures. The box indicates which of the five characters is included, and there is no assembly required, so anyone can enjoy it!

Here are the kits and characters

1 Shirokuma and Tapioka (pink)

Shirokuma...... is a cold, shy bear who escaped from the north. He is most at home when he is drinking warm tea in the corner. He is good at drawing pictures.

Tapioka...... is an expressionless, cynical bear who was left behind because he drank the milk tea first and found it hard to suck. He has lots of friends and likes to doodle and imitate something.

2 Penguins? and Tapioka (yellow)

Pengin? ...... I am not sure if I am a Pengin. I feel like I used to have a plate on my head. I love reading, music, and cucumbers.

3 Tonkatsu and Ebiufurai's Tail

Tonkatsu...... left behind because it was too greasy, the beginning of a tonkatsu. He is 1% meat and 99% shrimp. He is often in a daze and sometimes becomes dark when he remembers past traumas.

Shrimp Tail...... was left uneaten because it was too tough. He and Tonkatsu are kindred spirits and are often together.

4 Cat and Zaso

Cat...... is shy, timid and humble. She is often found in the corner, brushing her nails or hiding behind something. She is also concerned about her figure and wants to become slimmer.

She has a dream of having her bouquet made at the florist of her dreams someday! She is a positive and sociable grass with a dream to be a florist. She is good friends with cats, but sometimes sleepy cats mistake her for catnip and nibble on her.

5 and Tapioka (light blue)

The lizard...... is actually a dinosaur survivor who pretends to be a lizard to avoid being caught. They are good friends with "Setsumuri," a fake creature.

Let's have fun decorating it!

I tried decorating it with Sumikko Gurashi stickers, an official Sumikko Gurashi product sold by San-X!

Oh, it looks great! If I had a cute coffee cup like this, I'd want to ride on it!

[I'm going to try making my own characters.

Now that I have enjoyed decorating with stickers, I would like to add my own characters! This time, I'm going to try Black Tapioka. This time, I'm going to try my hand at a black Tapioka, which is "more twisted than the usual Tapioka.

I will knead the resin clay I bought at a 100-yen store into a shape that looks like "Tapioka.

The eyes and mouth are reproduced by using a toothpick to make dimples.

With a drill inserted for easy painting, paint the figure with a dark brown brush. Paint the eyes and mouth with white paint as if pouring it into the hollows.

Finished!　But it looks a little rusty .......

So, we all gathered for a meeting.

I invited Mr. Black Tapio to join us and we all got on the coffee cup!
