2) Yagiza no Kakera: Grape flavor (red)
To enjoy the most popular flavor of the confectionery.

Kompeito (kompeito) sugar is said to have been introduced from Portugal in the Muromachi period (1336-1573). Kasugai Seika launched the product in 1957 with the hiragana product name "Kompeito" in reference to its simple and gentle sweetness. This year marks 64 years since then.
Its unique shape has often been described as "star-like," but the collaboration with "Atsumare Animal Crossing" has resulted in a truly sweet and delicious "Hoshi no Kompeito.

■Kimpeito production takes about one month! The mystery behind the formation of horns (antlers)
It takes as long as a month for the sugar crystals, which are as fine as powder, to become a small grain with an adorable horn.
The sugar crystals are placed at the core of a rotary kettle on an incline, and as the kettle is heated and the molten sugar is poured over the crystals layer by layer in small quantities, horns naturally appear due to the stickiness of the sugar nectar. In order to create these beautiful corners, the temperature inside the factory, the temperature, tilt angle, and rotation speed of the rotary kettle, as well as the amount of molasses to be spun, and the intuition of the skilled craftsmen who constantly and successfully control these conditions are the key factors.
The craftsmen's intuition and skills, cultivated over many years, are used to create a beautifully transparent kompeito.
