The "Ace Attorney" series has been adopted by the Osaka Prefectural Police Department as part of its educational campaign to prevent juvenile delinquency.
The "Ace Attorney" series is a courtroom battle game in which players take the role of a lawyer to save a client who has been accused of a crime he did not commit. (Capcom's popular series boasts cumulative sales of 8.6 million units (as of September 30, 2021).
The characters from "Ace Attorney" have been adopted for the first time by the Osaka Prefectural Police Department in their juvenile delinquency prevention awareness program.
Since 2009, Capcom has been involved in a variety of initiatives, including the first comprehensive agreement between a video game company and a local government, cooperation with prefectural police in the Kinki region to promote crime prevention, and campaign awareness for gubernatorial elections. In the area of crime prevention awareness, the company has been involved in the Osaka Prefectural Police since 2013.
In the area of crime prevention awareness, since 2013 we have cooperated with the Osaka Prefectural Police Department and other prefectural police departments in the Kinki region in their crime prevention awareness programs every year. This year, Capcom and the "Ace Attorney" series have decided to adopt the character for the first time in order to prevent the abuse of marijuana, which is becoming increasingly common among younger people in recent years, in response to a request from the Osaka Prefectural Police.
The company will produce 6,000 original posters and 4,000 original leaflets for the campaign, which will be displayed at educational institutions, police stations, and train stations in Osaka Prefecture and throughout Japan starting on December 9. This will support crime deterrence activities in Osaka Prefecture and throughout Japan.
