The main character [Shinji Kaminaga, the man who becomes Ultraman] is played by Takumi Saito, who made a small appearance in "Shin Godzilla" but left a strong presence, and has played a variety of characters from the orthodox to the monstrous in "Day Faces," "Mahjong Nomad 2020," and "The Story of 12 Days of a Monster Who Died in 8 Days," among others.
