New colors for covers and controllers to decorate the exterior of PS5 to be released! Galaxy Collection" pre-order starts on December 16th

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced new covers for the PS5 that allow users to customize its appearance and new colors for the DualSense wireless controller.

SIE will release covers for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition in Japan in a total of five color variations *1.
Midnight Black and Cosmic Red will be available on January 27, 2022, while Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue will be available in the first half of 2022.

DualSense wireless controllers will also be available in new color variations "Nova Pink", "Galactic Purple", and "Starlight Blue". These are scheduled to be released on January 14, 2022.

The PS5 cover "Midnight Black" and "Cosmic Red" and the new colors of the DualSense wireless controller will be available for pre-order from December 16, 2021 (Thursday) at retailers and EC sites.

Galaxy Collection" in five different color variations

The PS5 cover and DualSense wireless controller to be released as part of the "Galaxy Collection" will be available in five different color variations inspired by the vivid colors of nebulae.

In addition to the two colors "Midnight Black" and "Cosmic Red," which were released earlier for the DualSense Wireless Controller and have been well received, "Nova Pink" expresses the overwhelming power of exploding stars, "Galactic Purple" is brightly colored and sophisticated, and "Starlight" is inspired by the brightness of stars illuminating the universe. Inspired by the brightness of the stars that illuminate the universe, three new colors, "Starlight Blue," will color the user's gaming experience.

The PlayStation 5 cover and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition cover are new products that allow users to replace their existing PS5 cover; the top and bottom covers of the PS5 console can be easily removed and replaced with a color that matches their home décor and personal preferences.

The DualSense wireless controller, which has been well received since the launch of PS5 last November, allows users to enjoy an intense and realistic gaming experience enabled by tactile feedback and trigger effects*3 that change the resistance of the buttons.

Currently on sale in the popular "Livitz! Big Adventure" and "Call of Duty: Vanguard," as well as the upcoming "Gran Turismo 7," all of which allow local multiplayer play, with the new three-color controller.
