Present for one person by lottery! Perfect transformation and combination with GUNVALGAR! I made a plastic kit "MODEROID REVOLGER" which is truly a miracle! Editorial Review

From Good Smile Company's plastic kit series "MODEROID" comes the robot Revolgar from the anime "Genki Bakudan Ganbarugar!

The other day, the release of a third robot, Gekiryuuger, was announced as a new "MODEROID" product, and Akiba Research Institute editor A, who loves robot anime, took up the challenge of building an example following Ganbaruger.

Ganbarugar" is an anime that was broadcast on TV from April 1992 to March 1993, and is the second in the "Eldoran Series" that shares the same worldview as the hit "Absolutely Invincible Raijin-O." In the beginning of the story, there are three machines, each of which is a different character.

In the early part of the story, "Gambalgar," a combination of three machines, played the leading role, but when "Revolgar" was introduced in the 15th episode, Rikiya Ryuzaki, aka Red Gambar, became the pilot of Revolgar. He played an active role as a tag team with Gambalgar.

The key to the Revolgar is its ability to transform into three forms: fighter mode, animal mode, and a two-cannon revolver buster form.

How does the plastic kit reproduce this mode change? ......

Let's start the review!

Let's start with the box!

Let's start with the package.

The heroic figures of Fighter Mode and Animal Mode are printed on the box.

On the back are photos of each mode and the docked form with Gambargar.

Let's take a look at the contents.

There are quite a few runners, and the construction is poly capless.

There are also pre-painted parts, so even if you just assemble it straight, it looks like it will have a colorful finish.

Also, as with the GUNVALGER, metal reinforced parts are provided for this model.

These parts are used for the hip joints, which are easily stressed.

Now, let's start assembling!

Animal Mode

First, let's start with the animal mode, which is also the launch mode!

Revolgar Scramble!

In the anime, the robot was launching from inside a railroad crossing. The scene where the robot jumps out of the city was very exciting for me as a child.

It is a powerful lion-shaped machine, just like the image in the movie.

In this picture, it is equipped with the "look-alike" parts.

These parts are optional parts to reproduce the image of the anime more realistically, and are not used during the transformation.

Without the "Mienkei" parts, the figure would look like this.

The face and front legs are transforming parts, and the volume of the figure is slightly reduced. It is up to the user to decide whether to emphasize the deformation gimmick or the proportions.

Here is a comparison of the face of the "look-alike" parts and the deformable parts.

The "look-alike" part is a bit larger than the "deformable" part.

Now, let's transform the figure into fighter mode!

Fighter Mode

Revolgar! Miracle Transformation!

First, let's take each part apart.

First, let's transform the back legs. Swap the hands from Animal Mode to Fighter Mode hands.

Straighten them out and the arms are complete.

Next, transform the front legs.

The front legs are stored inside the parts. It becomes a leg part.

Then the body.

Pull out the legs and the head from inside the body.

Transform the tail (tail shot) into a gun (shot plaster).

Then, dock each part again. ......

Bashaaaan! (Image of lightning and thunder running in the background)

Fighter mode is completed!

Nice proportions! The proportions are so good that there is no other way to describe it, it looks great.

The lion head on the face and chest are pre-painted parts. Even when assembled as-is, the figure has this finish!

No matter what angle you look at it from, there are no gaps at all!

The coloring is almost perfect, using only molded colors and stickers.

The base of the thighs can be pulled out.

When the thighs are extended down like this: ......

The front and back leg openings, which were only like this, can be ......

The legs can be opened this wide!

Poses like this can also stand on their own!

In addition, the range of motion of the hips and arms is as you can see. The abundance of built-in gimmicks and the range of motion are in perfect balance.

Equipped with a shot blaster!

The main body of the shot blaster has a vertical dividing line.

And finally, today's main event!

It's time for the Miracle Armament!

Miracle Armament Revolver Star!

The Revolgar transforms into a giant double cannon "Revolbuster" when "Miracle Armed"!

Docking with Gambalgar, it is possible to fire powerful energy by having it pull a trigger.

The parts are separated from the body again.

Then, each part is transformed and attached to the body again. ......

Miracle Armed!"

Revolver Buster is completed.

The main deformation points are the purging of the foot parts and lion head parts, and the replacement of the wrist to the gun muzzle. The main gun looking parts. And the sighting parts on the back.

It can also be displayed on a transparent stand.

Gambargar is now available! ...... means, of course, docking!

Remove Gunbalgar's chest tiger and shoulder parts.

Then, remove the neck of GUNVALGAR and fix it by connecting the pin on the REVOLGAR side to the hole on GUNVALGAR's chest.

Next, insert the sighting parts into the shoulders of the Revolgar and Gambargar to further secure both machines. Then, set the head of GUNVALGAR again! Now the attack preparation is complete!

"beep beep beep ......" Aim at the target ......

Last Fireooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"

The hot special move scene in the movie can be reproduced and displayed. This will raise your tension!

By the way, the extra parts of each mode can be put together on the stand.

This will reduce the possibility of accidentally losing parts.

So, that was my review of the MODEROID "Revolgar.

Ganbargar was a superb kit that combined deformation and docking of each core mecha, but this Revolgar is also an extraordinary plastic kit that can both deform and dock with Ganbargar, and is perfectly proportioned.

The assembly time is not so long, only 3 to 4 hours, so why don't you try assembling it at your leisure?

Above all, it has already been decided that a third robot, "Gekiryuuger," will be released by MODEROID in July 2022. Naturally, it will also be possible to combine with "Great Gambalgar" in a super-miracle, which we cannot help but look forward to!

Why don't you assemble "Revolgar" and "Gambalgar" during this year-end and New Year holidays and add to the fun of 2022?
