Obituary: Sayaka Kanda passed away.

Actress, singer, and voice actress Sayaka Kanda passed away at 9:40 p.m. on December 18, 2021, it was announced on the official website of her agency, Loeb Co. She was 35 years old.

According to reports, Ms. Kanda was in Sapporo, Hokkaido, for a performance of "My Fair Lady," a musical in which she starred, and was scheduled to appear at the noon performance on December 18, but could not be reached until around 11:00 a.m. Double cast actress Manato Asaka took over for her.
Around noon on the 18th, Ms. Kanda was found lying in an outdoor space on the 14th floor of the hotel with blood on her body. She was later transported to the hospital in an unconscious state, where her death was confirmed at 9:40 p.m. on December 18.

We would like to inform everyone who has supported Sayaka Kanda.
On December 18, 2021, at 9:40 p.m., Sayaka Kanda (age 35) passed away suddenly.

It is with great sadness that we have to report this to all of her fans who have supported her and to all those who have been involved in her life. We, too, are still in a state of disbelief and cannot accept the news.

We are still investigating the details of the situation, but we sincerely ask that the media refrain from interviewing the relatives or publishing speculative articles.

Sayaka Kanda debuted as an actress in 1999 and also worked as a singer. She then began attending a voice acting school, and in 2011, she was cast in the TV anime "Poor Gods! In 2014, she played the role of Anna in the Disney film "Anna and the Snow Queen," for which she received great reviews for both her singing and acting, and in 2021, she gave a fine performance as Mana Nagase in the TV anime "IDOLY PRIDE.

She is also active in music, forming the music unit "TRUSTRICK" with guitarist Billy. He has sung theme songs for anime such as "Danganronpa" and "Ore Monogatari! and other anime theme songs.
