The new show "Goutarou Sentai Don Brothers" will begin airing on 24 TV Asahi stations on March 6, 2022 (Sunday).

For the first time in 10 years, there is no "Jar" in Super Sentai!
As the end of the year draws near, many of you may be starting to get anxious about next year's Super Sentai series.... For those fans who love Super Sentai, a new Super Sentai has been announced.

The title of this new series is "Goutarou Sentai Don Bros!
This will be the first new work without "Jar" in 10 years since "Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters" (2012-2013), like "Kikai Sentai ZENKAIJAR," which is currently airing, and it shows the enthusiasm of the show to be an innovative work.

As can be seen from the program's logo and the visual of "New Red" with a peach on his forehead, the motif of this work is the old tale "Momotaro," which everyone is familiar with. The new hero, Don Momotaro (Red), will be depicted as he and his "companion" face off against a powerful enemy, just like Momotaro.

When the five heroes are all together, they form an uneven silhouette unprecedented in the history of Super Sentai!
The hero of this film, Don Momotaro (Red), is a vigorous character reminiscent of Nobunaga Oda. He was born in a capsule in the shape of a peach and flew to Japan.

Joining Don Momotaro in the fight against the enemy are the Monkey Brother (blue), Dog Brother (black), and Pheasant Brother (pink), all of whom represent Momotaro's "monkey, dog, and pheasant" companions. In addition, there is an Onishi Sister (yellow), who represents the image of an ogre.
One can only imagine what kind of relationship the five will have with each other.

The greatest feature of these heroes is the unique body shapes of each of the five. Don Momotaro, who wears a "chonmage" on his head, is the first, followed by the "horned" Onishi Sister, the muscular and "macho" Monkey Brother, and the "chonmage" Don Momotaro, who is the second. The visual impact of the "Inu Brother" is also enormous.
Furthermore, while Canine Brother is a "three-headed" character with a total length of 100 cm, Pheasant Brother is a remarkably "tall" character with a total length of 220 cm. Good news for tokusatsu fans! The script is written by Toshiki Inoue, the master of many legendary works.
The script for this film is written by Toshiki Inoue. Inoue is known as the main writer for the Heisei Masked Rider series such as "Masked Rider Agito" (2001-2002), "Masked Rider 555" (2003-2004), and "Masked Rider Kiva" (2008-2009), but he has never worked as the main writer for the Super Sentai series. However, it has been about 30 years since he was the main writer for the Super Sentai series since "Torijin Sentai Jetman" (1991-1992).

Incidentally, "Jetman" is a legendary work that drew a lot of attention for its setting that added elements of trendy dramas, which were very popular at the time, to tokusatsu hero works, and for its unimaginably shocking ending. The "New Form of Super Sentai" that Mr. Inoue, who has gained maturity through working on this classic work that is still talked about today, is taking on with this film is a must-see.

Ryuta Tasaki, who participated in the Super Sentai series for the first time in 22 years with "Majin Sentai Kiramager" (2020-2021) and is currently directing "Kikai Sentai ZENKAIJAR," will also be directing this work. The film will be directed by Ryuta Tasaki, who also directed "Kikai Sentai ZENKAIJAR," which is currently airing in the Super Sentai series.

The Super Sentai series has reset its worldview setting every year, but there was once an instance in "Denshi Sentai Denji Man" (1980-1981) and "Taiyo Sentai Sambalkan" (1981-1982) when the popular enemy character, Queen Hedorian, was cast in the series.
