PUBG Esports 2022 "PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP" for PC will be held!

PUBG JAPAN announced the PUBG Esports plan for the PC version of "PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS" in Japan for the year 2022.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS" is a battle royale game in which up to 100 players survive until the "last man standing. The surviving player's screen will display the message "I won! I won! I'm going to win dinner! is displayed on the screen of the surviving player.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS" for PC has been updated to 14.2! New weapon "Mortar" and the appearance of "Chicken" are also available!

■Structure of PUBG JAPAN Esports in 2022
In 2021, an open tournament "PUBG JAPAN CHALLENGE" will be held with the aim of creating a structure that allows players to study in Japan in order to create teams that can compete in international tournaments.
In 2022, the "PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP" will be held to determine the strongest team in Japan by the top 16 teams in Japan, providing a field where players and teams can shine and enjoy high-level survival, while maintaining the goal of creating teams that can play in international tournaments.


<Major Changes
The domestic tournament will now be divided into two parts: the "PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP (PJC)" and the "PUBG JAPAN CHALLENGE SERIES (PJCS)".


The PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP will consist of Japan's top 16 teams to determine the best in the country, and will begin with 16 teams invited based on the results of the official tournament in 2021.
The PUBG JAPAN CHALLENGE SERIES is an open tournament open to all teams not competing in the PJC, and will carry on the spirit of the 2021 PUBG JAPAN CHALLENGE and lead the way to the CHAMPIONSHIP.
