Event Report
As the curtain opened on the event, Mr. Tachibana, playing the role of casino manager Diletore, appeared on stage wearing a mask and quickly drew the audience into the world of this work. The reading of the play began with the story of an incident that occurred in Brurone, a trading city controlled by the mafia in a corner of the Kingdom of Italy. Both the daytime and nighttime performances revolved around a key person named "Black Santa," but each had a different storyline, making them enjoyable whether you saw only the daytime or nighttime performance or both performances. In the daytime performance, children who claim to have seen "Black Santa" make a fuss and prevent the party from going ahead, so the mafia members scramble to find out who this "Black Santa" really is. In the evening performance, a young boy named Giovanni was taken by "Black Santa" and disappeared.
Who will win the game and get the gorgeous Christmas present?
After the first half of the reading performance, the variety corner "Mafia's Merry Christmas" was held.
During the daytime performance, the A team was divided into two teams, with Ms. Ishikawa & Mr. Kimura as the A team and Ms. Tachibana & Mr. Toyonaga as the B team. Mr. Morikubo, while being the MC, predicted the winning team in advance, and if he and the winning team won, they would be in a position to receive a present. Morikubo-san bet on the B team, Tachibana and Toyonaga, but immediately revealed the reason, saying "I bet on the A team in rehearsal," which drew laughter.
At the evening performance, when Okamoto-san joined the audience, Morikubo-san, Ishikawa-san, and Toyonaga-san were on Team A and Tachibana-san, Kimura-san, and Okamoto-san on Team B. The game was played in two 3-on-3 teams.
The team that won the game was given a choice of six gifts: a bottle of white wine (red wine for the daytime performance), a pistol bottle of tequila, an orderly Maritozzo, Christmas boots filled with sweets, a can of sparkling wine (red or white), and a tawashi (a scrubbing brush). The six types of products. The game to see which team would win and who would get which product was finally underway, with the luxury gifts on the line.
The first of the three mini-games was the "Aim for the Snowball Game! Snowball Game.
Squares with instructions and points appeared on the floor. At first glance, they appeared to be just circles of various sizes, but in fact, these circles were made of thick material, and the exquisite bumps created by the thickness and the gloves worn by the cast members on their hands largely determined the winner of the game.
In the daytime performance, which started with Mr. Ishikawa, who was the only one who failed to score a single point in the rehearsal, Team A scored 15 points and Team B scored 140 points, with Team B winning the game. However, in the evening performance, neither team earned any points at all, and the result was a 0-0 draw. The cast members laughed at this, and inaudible laughter could be heard from the audience, who were not allowed to speak.
After regaining their composure, the next game was played: "If it collapses, you lose! Present Box Tower! The game was "Collapse and You Lose!
In this simple game, both teams stacked gift boxes on top of a giant gift box that appeared in the center of the stage, and the team that collapsed the tower was the loser. However, since gloves are worn in this game as well, it is difficult to adjust the position of the boxes in detail because the hands holding the boxes slip.
This time, team B started the game.
Tachibana chose a medium-sized box and placed it vertically, which was not very stable! Toyonaga-san then placed a beveled treasure-shaped box at an angle, an aggressive move. Okamoto-san struggled to place a heart-shaped box on the top of the beveled box. As a result, he secretly changed the bottom treasure box to a more stable placement and placed it with the two rounded corners of the heart on the bottom. However, the decision was OK, and Mr. Ishikawa followed by placing the same heart-shaped boxes on top of each other in the same manner.
Kimura, who was pondering what kind of object could be placed on the pointed apex of the heart, chose the lid of a gift box. After Kimura, who managed to place it in an unbalanced position, it was Morikubo of the A team who found himself in a pinch. With no other choice, he chose the smallest box and placed it gently on top of the tilting lid. He succeeded in placing the box on top of the tilting lid, and the audience gave a big round of applause. Team B had to pile more boxes on top of the one already placed, and Tachibana wondered if a larger box would be better, but in the end, she chose the same small box as Morikubo's. It collapsed. However, the box collapsed, and team A won the game.
In the second round, the teams swapped the first and second positions, with Mr. Toyonaga of Team A choosing the first round-shaped box and setting it up. After Tachibana-san of Team A was stopped when she suddenly tried to carry five boxes of different sizes stacked on top of each other and ended up placing a large white box on top, Ishikawa-san of Team A chose a square box with high stability, hoping to enjoy it for a long time. Okamoto-san then chose a round box, and Morikubo-san set the largest box, and the gift boxes were stacked smoothly.
After the first round, the boxes were getting higher and higher, so a step stool appeared, and in the second round, Toyonaga chose a large, long, narrow box, which he intentionally placed slightly out of balance on both sides. Tachibana-san tried to correct the course by placing the same long and narrow box as Toyonaga-san's, but with a different balance. Okamoto-san, who chose the same shape, did not flinch at Ishikawa-san's warning, "It's dangerous! Okamoto-san, who had chosen the same shape, tried to place it in a cross shape, changing the length and width without flinching at Ishikawa-san's warning. Next, Morikubo-san carefully placed a golden square box, and then it was Kimura-san's turn. Kimura-san put down the microphone and tried with both hands, showing his seriousness. When he tried to place the rectangular box vertically, it almost collapsed in front of him for a moment, and the cast members applauded Kimura for "taking it well. Kimura-san, who was confident of his victory after safely stacking the boxes, passed the baton to Toyonaga-san with a kiss. At this point, the gift boxes were so high that they covered all of Mr. Toyonaga's body, and he wanted to win with the big box, but Mr. Toyonaga had second thoughts and picked up the smallest box. The audience applauded as Mr. Toyonaga placed the smallest box on top, his hands shaking. Tachibana, however, chose the same small box as Toyonaga and boldly took on the challenge. However, her bad premonition proved to be true... Tachibana took out her frustration on the fragile collapsed box by knocking down more of the remaining towers.
The last game was the "I'll Whisper Merry Christmas to You" corner.
Nine situations were shown on the screen, and the audience had to guess in which situation the lines were uttered. In the daytime performance, the theme was "Merry Christmas," but in the evening performance, "Brindisi," a toast, was used as the line of the character being played.
Okamoto-san, who had not participated in the daytime performance, started first, but she chose "a toast with orange juice, as a 19-year-old would say in an adult impersonation. When the cast members asked her if she was okay, Okamoto-san was reminded that she had to perform in character (Yang), which resulted in a head-scratcher.
Morikubo-san, the next member of Team A, chose "A toast exchanged between two lovers sitting on a bench in the cold weather," and mixed his lines with cold acting. Mr. Ishikawa and Ms. Toyonaga thought Mr. Morikubo's voice expressing coldness sounded like crying, but they noticed the phrase "under a cold sky" and came up with the correct answer. Although it turned out to be the correct answer, Morikubo-san lamented, "I'm shocked that I can't distinguish between a cold ad-lib and a crying voice.
Please check the results of the game and who got what product in the archived video, which will be available until January 3, 2022.
The second half of the reading play and the live part were quiet.
After the game corner was over, it was back to the reading play corner.
The six have successfully solved Giovanni's disappearance and the Brulone mafia has gathered for a natale, and following the dreamy time when the six celebrate with their faces together, Direttore lets us dream about meeting them, in response to our request to see something more different. A sweet moment with Orlok, Gilbert, Yang, Nicolas, Henri, and Dante, the audience was enveloped in a special Christmas atmosphere.
The event ended warmly with "Silent Glim," the soft and gentle ending theme sung by mao.
Ishikawa said that the scenario was so realistic that the audience could see the scenery of Brulone even though there were no pictures.
The performance is being archived until January 3, 2022, so why not spend your year-end and New Year's holidays looking back on this event?
