First film directed by Shingo Adachi! Original TV animation "Licorice Recoil" to be broadcast in 2022! Main Staff Cast & Teaser Visual Revealed!

Shingo Adachi, who has worked as a character designer and chief animation director on a number of high-profile productions including the "Sword Art Online" and "WORKING! series, and will begin airing in 2022.

It will be produced by A-1 Pictures, which has worked with Shingo Adachi on numerous works. The original story is by Asaura of "Ben To" fame and the character designs are by Imigimuru of "This Art Club Has Problems! The story of the girls will be developed by a strong staff.

Chika Asai will play the role of Chisato Nishikigi-a girl with short-cut blond hair-and Shion Wakayama will play Takina Inoue, a girl with long black hair.

The teaser visual released today depicts a scene from the daily life of Senzoku and Takina, who are wearing different color uniforms.

The school uniforms worn by Chisoku and Takina were designed by Kimika Onouchi (ALCATOROCK), who is in charge of costume design for Nogizaka46 and Sakurazaka46.

I realized that being a director is an ungrateful position to make others do what I can't do, so I decided to start from there, because it is something that can be done with effort, not talent, to make the staff look back on the time they spent with me as at least being able to have fun. As a manga artist, I never imagined that the day would come when I would be entrusted with character design for an animation.
