New cast announced for "Shin Masked Rider! Hayato Ichimonji / Masked Rider #2 is Tasuku Emoto!

It was announced that Tasuku Emoto will play the role of Hayato Ichimonji/Masked Rider No. 2 in "Shin Masked Rider" to be released in March 2023.

Shin Masked Rider" was announced on April 3, 2021, the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of "Masked Rider" in 1971, and will be produced and released in March 2023.
Written and directed by Hideaki Anno, whose "Shin Evangelion the Movie" was a smash hit, recording 10.23 billion yen at the box office, "Shin Masked Rider" is a new original film based on the 1971 "Masked Rider" series.

On September 30, a joint press conference was held with the "Hideaki Anno Exhibition," the world's first exhibition covering Hideaki Anno's creative activities and his origins, which is currently being held at the National Art Center, Tokyo, to announce the cast, including Sosuke Ikematsu as Takeshi Hongo/Masked Rider and Minami Hamabe as Ruriko Midorikawa. I am going to play the role of Masked Rider #2...? That was my honest impression when the role was decided.
As I started to match the costumes and decide on the props, I gradually began to realize that this is what it means to play Masked Rider #2, and I became more and more nervous. As I prepared for the filming, I was struck by the beauty, intelligence, and coolness of the original Kamen Rider. During the filming, I fought against the pressure of bringing the original Kamen Rider back to life in the modern age under the direction of director Anno, who was not a simple man. There are cuts here and there that even I couldn't imagine.
