The "50th Anniversary THE Masked Rider Exhibition" will be held from March 11 (Fri.) to April 10 (Sun.), 2022, at the Kanayama Minami Building (former Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Nagoya).

Masked Rider" was created in 1971, when the Japan World Exposition (Osaka Expo) had closed with great success the previous year and the period of rapid economic growth was at its peak. Masked Rider" was a hero with a humanistic personality who fought with sadness and loneliness, and was supported not only by children but also by adults, becoming a representative hero of Japan.


It has been 50 years since "Masked Rider" was born.

This exhibition introduces the appeal of "Masked Rider" from various perspectives, and hopes that each and every visitor will remember "those days" of "Masked Rider" from the Showa, Heisei and 2025 eras. The exhibition, "The Masked Rider 50th Anniversary Exhibition," will be held from March 11 (Fri.) to April 10 (Sun.), 2022, at the Kanayama Minami Building (former Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Nagoya).

Highlights


Trajectory of Glory: 1971 - 2022
The entire history of "Masked Rider" from the original "Masked Rider" to the current "Masked Rider Revisited" will be introduced.
Special videos edited especially for this event, props actually used in the filming of TV and movies, and items from the movies that have been "reissued" for this exhibition will be on display to give visitors a sense of the world of the works.


Masked Rider and the Times
Masked Rider" has entertained us not only on TV but also in various other ways, such as the unprecedented success of the "transformation belt" toys.
This exhibit introduces the appeal of Masked Rider along with nostalgic toys, manga, records, and other exhibits that remind us of the "era.


The Secret Society of Evil
The existence of "evil" is an indispensable part of the "Masked Rider" story.
The "Secret Society of Evil, Shocker," which appeared in the first generation "Masked Rider," had a tremendous impact and is still deeply etched in the memories of many people.
This issue features Shocker, which celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The exhibition introduces the Shocker, from the hair-raising monsters to the slightly unique ones, as well as the executive monsters of the past, using standing statues and panels.
