The music record of the masterpiece "Samurai Champloo" will be released! ED "Shiki no Uta" etc.

Four analog music record titles from the anime "Samurai Champloo," which was broadcast on TV in 2004, will be released from April to May 2022.

The original anime "Samurai Champloo" was produced by Mangrove and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. The innovative visuals and music of this "chanpuru" combination of period drama and Hip Hop elements captivated not only anime fans but Hip Hop fans as well. It was a groundbreaking work at the time, and is still highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad. As one of the origins of "Lofi Hip Hop," the works of "Samurai Champloo" are still immeasurable in 2022.

Director Watanabe, known for his deep knowledge of music, selected the artists!
First, Nujabes, a rare trackmaker who rocked the scene with his lo-fi HipHop and later created many followers in Japan and abroad, and fat jon, who has been active since the 00s as a core member of Five Deez and has released solo albums.
KZA and DJ KENT, a unit of KZA and DJ KENT, who have remixed many artists and have a presence as top runners in the club scene in Japan and abroad, and Tsutchutch, a trackmaker for SHAKKAZOMBIE, who has been leading the scene since the dawn of Japanese HipHop. Tsutchie has been leading the scene since the early days of Japanese HipHop.

The tracks they created for "Samurai Champloo" were released on four CDs in 2004 as "departure," "masta," "impression," and "playlist," and were smash hits. These four CDs are now being released on analog vinyl after a lapse of 18 years.

The "departure" and "masta" CDs will be released on April 27, and the "impression" and "playlist" CDs on May 18. Each title will be released in analog format for the first time and in limited first-run production.

The pre-order deadline for each title is February 7. The songs are available on iTunes Store, Recochoku, mora, and other major download services.
