Fruits Basket" by Natsuki Takaya is a popular girls' manga serialized in "Hana to Yume" from 1998 to 2006. The total number of comics sold has exceeded 30 million copies.
It will be adapted into an anime with a new staff and cast starting in April 2019, and will air on TV Tokyo and other stations. The movie "Fruits Basket -prelude-" is a compilation of the TV series with new footage, and the limited theatrical edition Blu-ray will be released at the same time.
