Tsutomu Nibe's latest work, "Kaina of the Great Snow Sea" project PV revealed! Produced by Polygon Pictures, to be broadcast in January 2023!

At the announcement of Fuji Television's "+Ultra" new lineup held today, "Kaina of the Great Snow Sea," a large-scale project by the strongest tag team of Tsutomu Nibei, creator of "Knights of Sidonia" and "BLAME! The project is a large-scale project by the powerful team of Tsutomu Nibe and Polygon Pictures, which has animated these works with overwhelming quality.

The project PV announced this time shows the "Tempura" that spreads from the top of the "Kidoju", a giant tree that has grown countless times in a world where the earth is being lost due to the "Snow Sea", and the encounter between Kaina, a boy living in a harsh environment, and Liliha, a girl from the earth. The director of the TV animation is Anzu Kurokawa, who is also the director of the TV animation.

The TV animation will be directed by Hiroaki Ando ("LISTENERS" and "Ajin" director, "Knights of Sidonia: Battle of the Ninth Planet" assistant director). The animation will be produced by Polygon Pictures ("BLAME!" and "Knights of Sidonia"), which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year. In addition, comments from Tsutomu Nibei and visuals of the original plan were shown at the event.

The TV anime will begin airing on Fuji TV's "+Ultra" in January 2023, and will also be distributed worldwide outside of Asia via Crunchyroll.

It was also announced that a manga by Itokai Takemoto of "The Beast Player" will be serialized in the February 26, 2022 issue of "Monthly Shonen Sirius.

In a different world, the land has almost disappeared due to the ever-expanding "snow sea".
People barely live on the "celestial membrane" that spreads from the base and top of the "orbiting tree", a giant tree.
When Kaina, a boy from the heavenly membrane, and Liliha, a girl from the ground, meet, a story that will change the world that was about to be destroyed begins.

This project is the brainchild of internationally acclaimed manga artist Tsutomu Nibei and Polygon Pictures, which has been adapting Tsutomu Nibei's works into anime of overwhelming quality.
