Attention is focused on the combining and transforming gimmick that can realistically reproduce famous scenes from anime! I made MODEROID "Dynazenon"! Part 1 [Taiyuki's Weekend Plastic Modeling Vol. 45
When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!
The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and a production period of one to two days! If you read this series, you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.
So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! Weekend Plastic Model! Let's start the 45th issue!
Vol. 45 MODEROID "Dyna Xenon" Part 1
One of the robot anime representing the year 2021 is "SSSS.DYNAZENON.
Following "SSSS. GRIDMAN," "DYNAZENON" became the talk of the town as a TRIGGER-produced anime based on the special effects work "Denko Chojin Gridman. The work was a must-see, with the "Bic Camera" signboard and "Diaclone" poster appearing in the film, and the townscape destroyed during the battle being depicted as if it were a special effects model.
If you have not seen this work, please give it a look, as the battle action between robots and monsters, as well as the careful portrayal of the characters, are wonderful!
The "DX Combined Dragon Man Dynazenon" toy, which is a fully transformable combined figure, and the heroine "Minami Yume" figure are just a few of the items that really hit the spot.
In the midst of all this, we would like to introduce the "Dynazenon" assembly kit released in the MODEROID series!
First of all, let's take a look at the front of the package, with original artwork by Hiromoto Mutaguchi. The front of the package is covered in glittering, densely-painted DynaZenon, and the large head of DynaRex is impressive.
The back of the package shows the various gimmicks.
Both sides depict the separate mechanisms.
The top and bottom surfaces are designed in such a way that it can be displayed in any orientation.
Since it is a combined mecha, there are a large number of parts. Again, there are many pre-painted parts, and the product is designed to be fully enjoyable even when unassembled.
Two instruction manuals are included, one for assembly and the other for explaining the gimmick of combining the parts. It took about 4.5 hours to assemble.
First, let's take a look at the mecha in their detached state.
Dyna Soldier
First of all, we have Dyna Soldier, the monster-type mecha that Yomogi Asanaka rides. It plays a core position when combined.
Although the kit is small in size, the style of the reproduction is outstanding.
The cheeks of the head and the knees are color-coded with stickers. The chest has pre-painted parts, so the color scheme is highly reproducible even when assembled as is.
The neck is connected by a ball joint, so it can be tilted back and forth, left and right, and can also be rotated. In particular, the chin can be tilted upwards.
The shoulders are connected by a shaft and can rotate 360 degrees. They can also be raised horizontally by about 90 degrees.
The second arm connection allows for roll rotation with an axial connection.
The elbows can rotate 90°. The wrists are ball-jointed, so they can be rotated with a gripping motion.
Since there is no armor on the waist, the legs can be opened back and forth, left and right, which is excellent.
Roll rotation is possible on the thighs. The knees can bend about 90°.
The ankles are also ball-jointed, so they can be moved freely. Claws can be closed.
Cute tail can swing up and down.
Yomogi "Access Mode Dyna Soldier!"
The face can be turned upward, so poses like this are possible.
The Dinah Soldier, which has no hand-held weapons, looks great in a fighting pose.
He can even kick high.
Steady training is also important to control a robot!
Dyna Wing
Next up is Minami Yumei's Dynawing, which we saw in the OP clip with Yumei's hair tied around it.
This is an interesting mechanism with more than half of the fuselage being the main wing.
The "something beam" (properly called "penetrator gun") mounted on the main wing has molded landing gear for stable ground contact.
There are many painted parts, and furthermore, stickers are used to cover the detailed coloring.
Joint holes on the bottom of the fuselage allow for display in flight using "The Simple Stand".
The deformation of the main wings, which was shown when performing dive descents, can also be reproduced.
It is a favorite both mechanically and pilot-wise.
■Dyna Striker
The third model is a four-wheel drive vehicle type Dynastriker. It is piloted by Yamanaka Reki.
It reminds me of an assembled four-wheel drive hobby for my generation.
From the film, it appears to be much larger than a normal car when in access mode.
The rear wing is color-coded with larger stickers.
The front part is the part that will be the finger of the Dynazenon.
The rear is very simple. The tires are properly separate parts from the wheels.
The wheels rotate smoothly and can be used for rolling.
The joint holes on the underside of the body are not large enough to connect The Simple Stand, so we connected it to the rear joint holes.
Chise "Thank you senpai ......
The front part of the wrist of the Dyna Zenon can be replaced with the wrist parts of the Dyna Zenon, so you can recreate the partial deformation as shown in the play.
Dynadiver
The last one is the DynaDiver piloted by Gauma.
Personally, I think it is a truly magnificent submarine-type mechanism.
There is a hatch at the rear of the hull, and while the DX toy has the characteristic automatic deployment gimmick built in, the MODEROID has a manual hatch deployment gimmick.
The rear of the hull is engraved with screw-like details.
The landing gear can be deployed so it can be placed level to the ground.
The bridge part comes with two parts: one for shape and one for deformation. This is the shape-oriented one.
The bridge window and the front light are stickers.
Missile hatch opening and closing gimmick. The inside of the hatch is painted. It is nice that even the missile warheads are painted.
The simple stand can be connected to the joint hole in the Dynazenon form.
Diver combine can be reproduced by expanding the grip.
Each combine form
Let's continue to look at each combine form.
Yumeba "Let's do that one!
Yomogi: "Yes!
Turn the knee armor upside down.
Remove the front waist armor of the Dyna Zenon on the underside of the Dyna Wing.
Change the angle of the main wings of the Dyna-Wing.
Connect the front armor to the protrusions on both sides of the nose of the Dyna wing.
The two protrusions on the waist of the Dyna Soldier join with the Dyna Wing to complete the wing combination.
Using the joint holes at the rear of the Dyna Wing, you can also enjoy the flying pose in this form.
From the very beginning of the story, Yumeba and Yomogi were in perfect sync with each other.
While flying, Yume and Yomogi literally jump and kick!
There were times when they would transport the DynaDiver by combining the Diver Combine while winging combine.
Next was the Striker Combine.
Yomogi "Please!"
Chise "Senpai!"
Reki "Okay!"
Remove the arms of the Dyna Soldier and flip the shoulder armor up and down.
Remove the side covers of the Dyna Striker. The side pontoons are actually sculpted on the inside as well, and this one is just the right size when combined into each form.
To remove the covers from the top of the vehicle, once the front parts are removed, rotate the rear wings, and once all the covers are removed, attach the wrists again to split the vehicle body into left and right sections, ready for merging.
Combine the Dyna Striker with the shoulder armor of the Dyna Soldier and the Striker Combine is complete.
Yomogi & Reki "Dyna Soldier Striker Combine!"
Striker Storm Alpha" and "Beta" can be fired by pointing the wheels forward.
Well, we've had quite a bit of fun so far, but we're not done yet!
Gauma "Yomei! Yumeba! Reki! I need you guys now!"
Yomogi "Yes!"
Gauma: "Thank you ......"
The Dynastriker should be in the state just before combining.
Remove the Dyna Zenon helmet parts from the Dyna Wing.
Begin transforming the Dyna Soldier into the core. Spread both arms out to the left and right, fold the ankles, and bend the legs backward.
Remove the head and both arms.
Rotate the upper surface of the shoulder armor so that it faces forward. Legs fully backward.
Fix left and right legs with inner calf joints. Tail to the position shown in the photo.
For the DynaDiver, first replace the bridge section for deformation.
Stand the ship's body and make the bridge part horizontal.
Separate the joints of both legs so that they are movable.
Expand the bridge to the left and right to form the side skirts of the Dyna Zenon waist.
This completes the preparation for coalescence except for the Dyna-Wing.
The main wings of the Dynawing have been reshaped. Remove the front skirt armor as well.
Combine Dyna Soldier from the front so that the shoulder armor of Dyna Soldier fits into the notches on the main wings.
Turn the main part of the Dyna Wing to the front of the chest using the rotation of the shoulder of the Dyna Soldier as it is.
The left half of the Dyna Striker is combined with the arm connecting axis of the Dyna Soldier.
The right side of the Dyna-Striker is also joined to the right side of the Dyna-Soldier. Now the upper body of Dyna Zenon is almost completed.
Unlike the DX version, the way to combine the Dyna Striker is simplified and reproduced.
Attach the front waist armor to the Dyna Diver and ......
Combine the upper and lower body.
Once connected, slide the lower body forward and lock.
Attach the parts covering the shoulder armor of the Dyna Soldier and the head of the Dyna Soldier.
Combine the helmet parts with the head of Dyna Soldier.
Mouth opens to reveal the face of Dyna Zenon.
Rotate the wrists 90° at the base to position in DynaZenon form.
Yomogi & Gauma & Yumeba & Reki "Combined Dragon Man Dynazenon!
The merging is complete!
And so ends the first part!
In the second part, we will introduce the Dynazenon form, and the "Combined Strong Dragon Dynalix" form and combined mode.
Please continue to enjoy!
