The feature-length animated film "DEEMO Sakura no Oto -The Sound You Played Still Resonates-," which will be released in theaters nationwide on February 25, 2022, features the popular song "Dream" in the film.

DEEMO Sakura no Oto -The Sound You Played Still Resonates-" is based on the music game "DEEMO," which has been downloaded more than 28 million times worldwide. It is a joint production of Pony Canyon and Production I.G. Group, which led "Shinkage no Kyojin" to worldwide success, and the theme song is sung by Yuki Kajiura of "Demon Slayer" and other songs.

In addition to popular voice actors such as Ayana Taketatsu and Koichi Yamadera, this work has also attracted the participation of Akari Niu (Hyugaizaka 46), Gaku Hamada, and Naomi Watanabe. A portion of the film, which captures the beginning of the story, has now been released in advance.

The popular song "Dream" by DEEMO and the hilarious dialogue between Mirai (CV: Gaku Hamada), Nutcracker (CV: Ogata Issei), and Scent Bag (CV: Naomi Watanabe) are also noteworthy.

The film begins with a scene in which a single cherry petal is drenched in rain. The song "Dream," which is the first song played in the original "DEEMO" and is played with a bass melody and waltz rhythm, is played.

The beautiful melody is accompanied by a girl named "Alice" played by Ayana Taketatsu running through the rows of cherry trees in full bloom, looking back and waving her hands happily. A long, thin, human-like shadow stretches out beneath the dancing cherry blossoms. What is the person at the end of her gaze ......?

The scene changes, and Alice is sleeping with a stuffed cat on her pillow. From somewhere, we hear the voices of Mirai, Scent Bag, and Nutcracker, who are gently watching over Alice, consulting with her. Then, Deemo plays a beautiful melody from the shimmering keys.

Why did Alice lose her memory and wander into the mysterious castle with Deemo? Can she return to her original world? They weave a very tender, fleeting and sad story of love.

A gathering of renowned creators

DEEMO, a game based on the concept of piano, has been a huge hit mainly in Asia, thanks to the high quality of its original music, ranging from classical music with beautiful melodies to rock and jazz, and the overwhelming sense of performance obtained from the precisely calculated rhythms and melodies. It has wowed music game fans around the world.

The film version will be directed by Junichi Fujisaki of "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (script)" and "BLOOD+ (director, series composition, direction, and script)," with up-and-coming Shuhei Matsushita as the director. MD ("Princess Hirune: The Unknown Watashi no Monogatari" and others), which continues to grow as one of the leading I.G ports, will handle the animation production, supported by Production I.G, a leading Japanese animation studio known for its "Ghost in the Shell" series and other works.

Character design is by Mebachi, an illustrator who has made a splash with his work on "Mitsuboshi Colors" and "Girls' Revue: Revue Starlight". The theme song and image song will be sung by Yuki Kajiura, whose works include "Demon Slayer," "Sword Art Online," and "Puella Magi Madoka Magica. A team of top creators has been assembled to create a movie version of the hit music game.
