Book-loving young lady's misunderstood love fantasy "Mushikaburi Hime" is adapted into a TV anime! Directed by Taro Iwasaki of "Amazu to Inazuma" and produced by Madhouse.

A TV anime adaptation of the popular work "Mushikaburi Hime" (published by Ichijinsha), which has sold over 2 million copies in total, has been announced.

The work, which is currently being developed as a novel and comic book, is a "misunderstood" love fantasy that depicts the love between Eliana, a marquise whose love of books has earned her the nickname "Princess Mushikaburi," and her fiancé, Prince Christopher. The long-awaited TV anime adaptation is scheduled to air in 2022.


Directed by Taro Iwasaki of "One Week Friends" and "Amazu to Inazuma," the animation is produced by Madhouse, which has produced many popular works including "Hakozume: Police Box Girls Strike Back" and "Chihayafuru. How will the beautiful world of "Mushikaburi Hime" be depicted, and who will play the gorgeous characters? Who will play the roles of the gorgeous characters?


In commemoration of the TV anime adaptation, congratulatory comments from the original author, Yui, and illustrations from the character designer, Sakizuki Shiina, and the comic artist, Yui Kikuta, have arrived.
