Ideon is not the only three-legged mecha! Aoshima's 1/144 Dylanos is the Zaku for Char in "Makai Densetsu Acrobunch"! The 18th issue of 80's B-Grade Anime Plastic Model Natural History
Now, I would like to take up the enemy robot "Dylanos" from "Makai Densetsu Acrobanchi" (The Legend of Makai Acrobanchi). I had interviewed Takao Yotsuji, who was in charge of the general director under a pseudonym ( # ).
When "Acrobunch" was broadcast in May 1982, "Fang of the Sun Dougram," which had started the previous fall, was selling plastic models at a brisk pace. Combat Mecha Zabungle" also started airing in February, but the plastic models went on sale in July. About four months later, in November 1982, this "Acrobunch" 1/144 Dylanos was released. In the same month, a larger sized 1/100 Dylanos was also released. The following month, a 1/100 Dylanos was released as a clear mecha (a model that reproduced the internal mechanism). In short, a total of three types of this three-legged enemy robot were released. That's a lot of effort.
Since both large and small sizes, as well as reproduction models of the internal mechanisms, were released, it is clear that it was treated like the Zaku dedicated to Char in "Mobile Suit Gundam. Well, the depiction of enemy mecha in "Acrobanchi" is mainly "stop-motion pictures with wakame shadows and highlights, and movements are slides" and "beam firing → elaborate explosion effects like melting into mush", which is the same impression for any mecha, but even in ......, plastic models You might find a new charm as a plastic model, you know? Anyway, let's open the box!
▲ There are a few burrs (excess resin protruding from the mold), but the exterior is molded in gentle lines, and the fine pipes and joint axes are placed at moderate intervals in the gaps between them. It gives the impression of being very well crafted.
Aoshima's 300-yen "Anime Scale" line, which began with "Ideon, the Legendary God of Gigantomachines" (1980), may seem to imitate Gunpla only in the box, but the large exterior parts and joint parts scattered between them, and the sparse and dense balance between them, are "Gunpla-like. I think this runner arrangement is quite well researched.
I think this is a very well-researched work. ...... also has an "Acrobunch". In "Acrobunch", the female characters' clothes were torn and their boobs were exposed, and there were many depictions for high teens that were connected to OVAs in the mid 80's. ......I remember only naughty scenes, probably because it was featured in an anime magazine. I remember only sexually explicit scenes. I don't think they used that many drawing sheets for the battle scenes, but how did Aoshima plasticize the "Acrobunch" enemy mecha in 1982? Assemble! Anyway, assembling is what this series is all about!
