Character Creation - Tutorial

Let's get started. When you start up the game, you will see a screen for creating a hunter, and MonHun features a high degree of freedom in character creation!　You can freely choose not only the hairstyle, but also the position of the eyes, the height of the nose, and even the makeup. You can recreate your ideal face. Some people have even recreated the faces of celebrities on MonHun's character creation screen!　I think I could play for 2 to 3 hours just creating characters.

I think this is a complete joke, but you can also set up metallic or glowing lips. Try smiling with glowing lips at ....... It is very surreal because the avatar is so beautiful.

Furthermore, you can save your character creation settings as well as display a list of values. This makes it easy to exchange recipes for character creation.

Next is the Otomo character creation screen. In contrast to the genius cat "Airou," who can walk on two legs and use weapons, Garuku has a more realistic visual appearance. This time, I chose white as the base color and gave him a classy look. He's so cool!

Next, let's take a look at Airou. Anyway, I made it cute with rounded parts.

After character creation, the event scene begins. The twin sisters of the receptionist appear to the player who is sleeping by the hearth.

This time, the setting is the village of Kamura. The game begins when the player is officially recognized as a hunter.

Now that they can move around freely, they go to see the meeting place, and the event scene begins again. Inside the meeting place, a cherry tree is growing, and Airou is running a dumpling shop under it. It is a fantastic creation with a Japanese theme. It's so beautiful!

In the back of the gathering place, there was the main character's teacher, Instructor Utsushi. He is happy that I have successfully become a hunter. Further on, a tutorial quest called "Let's review the basics of hunting! a tutorial quest will begin.

A tutorial on "Kakerimushi," a new element introduced this time, is displayed. Using the kakerimushi allows you to jump in any direction, hang in mid-air, and catch yourself when attacked. Furthermore, if you point it at a wall, you can run and climb up the wall.

Next, let's take a look at the controls while riding Garuku. It seems that you can drift by pressing the move key + right click!　However, it is a bit confusing that the C key is for jumping and the Space key is for de-boarding ....... It may take some time to get used to it since the Space key is for jumping in almost all PC games.

Now that I have learned how to operate the game through the tutorial quests, I'm going to try the rally quests next!

But first, I'm going to try ...... to eat dumplings and get fully prepared. Eating dumplings will slightly increase your strength & stamina and activate useful meal skills such as recovering more and sharpening your weapon faster.

When you are ready, choose a quest from the quest counter in the meeting place. This time, I chose the "Midnight Kırıyak Extermination" hunting quest, which offers a luxurious reward.

When the quest starts, you will see a mini-map in the lower right corner of the screen to help you find Kulu Yak. This time, he was in the riverside area!

As for weapons, I am not good with melee weapons, so I can only use long-range weapons. So this time, I decided to use a heavy bowgun. It is very easy to use because I can shoot from a safe place and it has a decent attack power.

In the series work "Monster Hunter: World (MH:W)," you could ride on a monster and attack it, but in this work, the element is "Manipulating Dragon," which allows you to ride on a monster and control it!　It seems that you can ride on the monster, manipulate it, and attack the target Krulljak.

While chasing after the fleeing Krulljak, I moved around the area and attacked it steadily and repeatedly until I was finally able to defeat it. However, it may have taken too long, and although it was supposed to be a night map, I found myself on ...... in the morning.

Finally, I decided to play the best part of the MonHun series: multiplayer. When selecting a quest at the meeting place, you can either select "Reserve and accept a participation request" or select "Participation Request" in the game menu during the quest, and a stray player will come in and help you...it's what MH:W calls a distress signal.

If I had let my guard down, I would have been thrown off. Even if there are other players, the target will come around, so you have to be on your guard. I will continue to attack as much as I can.

Quest completed!　I was able to defeat the monster without incident. Despite the monster's strength, I was able to complete the quest considerably faster than Krulljak. This is by far more efficient than doing it alone.

I played through the tutorial and the ★1 quest this time, and frankly speaking, my impression is that it is a game for different tastes.

Compared to MH:W, there are more complicated actions and operation keys, and there is also a key for instructing Garuku. If you are concerned about this, you can change the keyboard settings or try controller operation, which is also supported.

If you are not good at action games and suddenly play this game, you may find it difficult because there are many controls to learn. On the other hand, if you like action games, this is a game that strikes you right in the middle. The exhilaration you feel when the complex actions with a high degree of freedom mesh together is immeasurable.
