WIT STUDIO Original Anime "Onipan! Broadcasting decided, teaser PV released! Directed by Masahiko Ota of "Minamike

WIT STUDIO's new original TV animation "Onipan! will be produced and broadcast by WIT STUDIO.

Onipan! is set in a world where ogres and humans live together, and tells the story of onikko (ogre children) who struggle to improve the image of ogres. The original story is written by Norihiro Naganuma, creator and director of the TV animation series "Mahoutsukai no Yome," WIT STUDIO, and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions, in the "Onipan! Project," a project by AAO Project to develop the original project, has come to fruition as a TV animation.

The animation is produced by WIT STUDIO, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2022 and continues to make great strides. The director is Masahiko Ota, who has worked on "Minamike" and "YuruYuri," and the series composition is by Takashi Asashi.

The main characters are Tsutsuji (red demon), Himawari (yellow demon), and Tsuyuukusa (blue demon), 14-year-old Onikko who transfer from their hometown Onigashima to a junior high school in Tokyo in order to "improve the image of Oni" in a world where humans and Oni live together. The key visual depicts the three and the "Onipan" (devil's panties), which is a key item in the production, and is as cheerful and energetic as the Onikko children.

The main cast includes Yua Nozaki as Tsutsuji, the friendly and curious red demon; Mika Negishi as Himawari, the mischievous and mischievous yellow demon; and Kokona Nonaka as Tsuyuukusa, the blue demon who seems cool and unobservant. The cast welcomes fresh members Nozaki and Nonaka, who were active in "Sakura Gakuin" and graduated from the school, and Negishi, the "Chao Girl 2019" grand prix winner.

　My character, Tsutsuji, is a cute, energetic, positive girl with a lot of emotions!
I can feel her intense emotional ups and downs in her lines as she encourages Himawari and Tsuyuukusa, and I really enjoy dubbing her. This is my first time as a voice actor, and I have many uncertainties, but I would like to enjoy working with this azalea and improve my skills.

She is a 14-year-old yellow demon girl who transferred from Onigashima to a junior high school in Tokyo.

I think this work gives us courage as the cool and cute Onikkotsu work hard for their mission to "improve the image of Oni". At first, I could not imagine what it was like to be an "ogre," but since I am in the second year of junior high school and the same age as you, I felt closer to you. I really like the way they laugh and get angry, just like human beings, even though they are demons.
I think the theme of the coexistence of demons and humans is also relevant to today's society, so I hope that you will warmly watch over the Onikkos with their strong personalities.

─ What is your impression of the characters and your enthusiasm for them?
Himawari, who I will be playing, is an energetic and boyish girl who is always in the forefront of the group. I myself often get courage from her, and I love her very much.
This is also my first time to work as a voice actress, and although there are many things that could go wrong, it is a very valuable and enjoyable experience to bring a character to life.
I would like to absorb more and more things from now on, and I hope that I will become more powerful as Himawari grows up.

TSUYUKUSA CV: Kokona Nonaka
She is a 14-year-old blue demon girl who transferred from Onigashima to a junior high school in Tokyo.
She is a downer type who is just a lazy and lazy person.
She is a genius and can do almost anything without any trouble, but she is often forced to work with Tsutsuji and Himawari because of her troublesome nature.
His motto is "If I don't do it today, I hope I can do it tomorrow.
She is the most mentally mature of the three, but she also has a childish side, as she loves sweets and will do anything for them.

　Tsuyuukusa-chan, the character I voice-dubbed, is a cool, calm, and lovable blue demon girl who doesn't let her surroundings get in her way no matter what the situation!
Usually Tsuyuukusa is a laid-back girl, but when it comes to food (especially sweets), I love the way she gets excited and smiles. This is my first time to do voice work, so I am nervous, but I feel really happy that Tsuyuukusa is the character I brought to life for the first time.
