Kana Hanazawa as new character Ost-Hourai in TV anime "The Rise of the Shield's Bravest Season 2"! New visual, new PV, OP&ED information released!

The second new visual and the second PV of the TV anime "The Rise of the Shield Heroes," which will air in Season 2 in April 2022, have been released. In addition, Kana Hanazawa has been chosen to play the role of new character Ost-Hourai, and information on the opening and ending theme was also announced.

Shield of Heroes" is a popular light novel by Aneko Yusagi, which was first published on the novel submission site "Shosetsu-kaerou" (Novelist) and later published as a book by MF Books. It is a fantasy about an otaku college student, Iwatani Naofumi, who was summoned to another world as a hero but lost his money and position.

The second new visual and the second PV of the TV anime "The Rise of the Shield Hero Season 2" have been released.
The second new key visual of "The Rise of the Brave Shield Season 2" was unveiled on February 10, 2022 (Thursday).

The visual depicts Shobun and his team confronting the powerful enemy Reikame, whom they aim to defeat in Season 2.
In the devastated land, all party members except Shobun are looking up at the turtle with their backs to the viewer. The expression on their faces may be one of despair or determination.... What kind of battle will they fight against this new enemy!
Please look forward to the start of the TV anime broadcast in April!

The second PV has been released!

The second PV of the TV anime "The Rise of the Shield Brave Riders Season 2" has been released.
In this PV, the opening theme "Bring Back" sung by MADKID, which is the first release in Japan, and the dynamic images of Shobun and his friends standing up to save the world again were shown.

Kana Hanazawa will play the role of new character Ost-Hourai!

Kana Hanazawa has been chosen to play the role of "Ost-Horai," a new character first unveiled in the second PV.
Ost-Horai is the regent and wife of the King of Reikame, and in the PV she is seen saying "Please kill me. and makes a meaningful plea to the shield hero, Naofumi Iwatani. She is one of the mysterious characters who will hold the key to the new season.

Information on the ending theme has been released! Chiai Fujikawa has been chosen as the singing artist!
It has been decided that Chiai Fujikawa will sing the ending theme of the TV anime "The Rise of the Shield Brave Rider Season 2" as she did in Season 1. The ending theme "Yuzunai" will be included in Sen'ai Fujikawa's mini-album to be released on April 27 (Wed.).

When it was announced that Season 2 would be released, I did a lot of egosurfing! Every time I found a comment saying "I hope the ending of Season 2 will be Chiai Fujikawa too! I was so happy to see the comment, "Yes, I want Chia Fujikawa for the ending of Season 2! I am very happy to be able to continue to work on the ending theme.
The theme of this year's ending theme song "Yuzurenai" (I can't shake it off) is about the bond between people. I hope you will listen to the song as it will be a source of strength for Naofumi and her friends' party.
